And now for something that (shockingly!) isn't a commission, but a personal experiment! This piece marks the very first time I tried a new kind of hybrid "matte painting" technique through Blender, in which I took one of my models (a very crude maned wolf I'd made during a stream demo), staged it with some lighting, and then dumped it in Photoshop to painting on like an otherwise normal piece. The results honestly shocked me with how good they looked-- I've been figuring more and more out since, and I'm so excited to share it with you all in the future. Somehow, learning 3D has been like, the biggest upgrade to my 2D skills in YEARS.
