So close to about a year ago, I made that Several Growing Arms thinger, about muscle growth styles using animation.
Here's another one, this time for illustrative effects, a small sampling of non-magical, magical, and background effects.
Also, surprise! The floating arm from yesteryear is no longer disembodied!

I still can't believe how much of an extra step you're taking with the way you can make an impact or give the impression of growth in so many multiple ways: if not an effect on the muscles themselves, then a glow of sorts around them; if not on the body at all, then as a background effect to focus on the intensity the growth is happening in. Just.... the tiny details you don't think often just blows up my mind at times and you've certainly done it once again to me.

Nowadays I'm using mostly 'Spikes' and 'Crescent' effect.
