Jack Kirby I can't say was a direct influence,
Though one of my first art books I ever got was "How to Draw the Marvel Way"... I am sure the lessons I learned in that have had lasting influences *Grin*
And Justifiers is brutal, dirty, and mean, but its a GREAT game setting! The best stories and greatest heroes are born on the forge of conflict and suffering. I have both had and seen many rise and fall in that setting...

I have recently been lamenting the seeming lack of what I consider to be real art, something that tells a story. This is an entirely personal matter and should be disregarded. The point is in this relatively simple, black and white line piece I find art. There is tension. There is purpose. He has a definite past, and uncertain future. My hat is off to you.
Would this be the Odis Holcomb who so beautifully captured the bleak atmosphere of New Tibet for the cover art of the first two anthologies?

I agree!
That is one reason I like Pen & Ink. Lots to be filled in by the minds eye, and strong contrast.
And Yes, I did the New Tibet Covers. They are here: http://stickypawz.timduru.org/SPArt.htm
And Thanks you *Grin*
