This could have been an early attempt at a costume design. Cadets are required to develop a costume by the end of the course. Costumes are graded on three criteria: creativity, craftsmanship and practicality. Much like the V-Kini, it shows creativity and craftsmanship but not practicality. Also, like the V-Kini, it could be considered rather provocative.
