Tara, a one-off design that went on to become the basis of the Starfarers, a race of nomadic space antelope that have colonized numerous planets and moons throughout my universe...

Like a lot of my random character/creature designs, this one just started out as a random cute pose and I went with it, and instead of looking for an existing species to give the anthro treatment, I just decided to mess with cute features and unnatural colors and strange patterns to make something that just looked good to me.
This is why we now have the Starfarers, an essential piece in making my universe fit together. This is also why we have the Ridgebacks, and later on, races like the Keahi, Almaki, Kurakalak, Wallakarrans, Thuabans, Dakromai, and a few others.

I decided to give her a jewel on her forehead because, funny story, I sneezed while trying to place one of her pupils and it wound up in that general location, and I thought "let's go with that" since she's some sort of random creature and it just adds to her "alien" or "exotic" appeal.
