"The kasha are a particularly ghoulish type of bake-neko, a familiar yokai born from a cat, that are commonly employed by those in charge of the underworld to retrieve the corpses of those who were wicked in life in order to take them to Hell. They strike during funerary services, living normally as a cat the rest of the time, and it's said that once a corpse has been taken by a kasha, there's nothing you can do to get it back...though, certain preventative measures exist to stop it from stealing it in the first place."
