While out and about this morning doing my thrice-weekly five mile walkies, I paused at a Stop & Rob to spend a penny. Ablutions concluded, I was walking across the parking lot when I spotted this crayfish making its way across the concrete.

The bugger was about 5 to 6 inches long, which means it's rather old.

There's a pond about a hundred yards away, and it was crawling back in that direction, so after getting this picture I left it alone. It's a pretty humid morning, so I hope it made it back before Old Sol showed his face.
