I was going around Artists' Alley at Youmacon 2008 and saw "Patches" was doing chibi (a Japanese word meaning "short person" or "small child," usually considered to also mean "super-deformed" in the U.S.) versions of the character of your choice. With two Japanese-inspired worlds in the setting, I figured someone would draw Star Hunter McClaw from "Born of the Storm" like that.
Artwork drawn for me by Robin "Patches", aka Inu-Papa, in my "Requests" con sketchbook during Youmacon 2008.

What really got him baring his fangs was when someone was selling unlicensed stuffed dolls of him. (Most Star Hunter admirals were effectively invisible as they tended to stay in Hunter facilities most of the time. The war made McClaw much more of a public figure.)
