Because it's at least more realistically feasible to swallow my prey whilst this cartoony. BTW, I made sentient sock dolls susceptible to hypnosis. The example I coiled around by my tail is a Hanes sock doll that I named Henry. All he wanted when we met was to play around with me. He never expected the first fun time we would have is me preying on him as a snake. At first, he certainly thought it was weird for snakes to eat any socks, even for fun, but after a little encouragement to try out being my playful meal (and a little bit of hypnosis to calm him down), he got use to it, even if I have to wash him after every playful feast before he's willing to go another round of being swallowed. In fact, now that he's use to it, he likes the sensation of being swallowed up by snakes, though he doesn't recommend being intentional snake food to sock dolls sentient enough to understand.
