Oh my, does this one have a tangential story.

Back in 2012, I submitted this short story as an entry in a Halloween-themed writing contest through the now-defunct TTFA group on DeviantART, and won 3rd place overall. The prize I won was a line-art commission by sugarpoultry, paid for by Lucern, and, since I was itching to have an ITC-themed TF sequence at the time, I requested that it be based off of Madelena's transformation from the main arc. Jennette was nice enough at the time to send the PSD file should I choose to colour it at a future date - something I intended to do before having to set it aside for university and other ongoing projects.

For whatever reason however, I was unable to find it not long after. After a few panicked checks, I figured that she would probably still have the file on hand, be it on her computer or on an external hard drive, and gave it little thought after. Much to my misfortune however, the data storage device on which Jennette likely had the file stored had bricked since our last correspondence on the commission, leaving me with nothing to work with.

Or so I thought.

It turns out that I was a biiiiiit lazy when it came to sorting my Gmail inbox, having let it pile up a lot since its activation nearly a decade ago. Sure enough, there it was, still attached to a curious email at the back of the inbox with Jennette's name on it.

I can not stress enough how relieved I am in finding this all over again.
