Lizardfolk magus I played in a pathfinder game run by  Menthemints. Bila (a shortened nickname derived from a draconic term describing a desert dwelling lizard, and also not her real name, but she wouldn't tell) grew up in the mana wastes, the horrible, horrible wasteland between Geb and Nex, in a little tribe of Groetus-worshipping lizardfolk. At some point, presumably on a trip into Alkenstar city for supplies, she came into possession of a blackblade, one of those mysterious sentient swords with a secretive agenda, and she was off on whatever mission it had for her. While her parents were dissapointed she didn't follow into the family business of bloodragers or warpriests, Bila eventually wound up working as a heavy in one of Nex's many mercenary mage guilds, using high mobility to harry enemy mages and deal horrifically explosive damage with a crit-fishing build.

Sadly the campaign didn't go well and just fizzled out halfway through.
