Nice shot, They're hard to photograph for sure, especially with the glass and the lightening at that zoo.

If I get the lens close enough to the glass at the proper angle, I can use flash with little to no penalty. :)

Yea, I can do it too at the right angles too. XD Can be tricky during busy days.

Eh, not all nice like you. I just have a Canon Powershot. I paint and draw but like taking lots of photos everywhere I go so I end up with 100s of pictures from one trip to the zoo. XD

MY external hard drive must hate me.

Well, I started with a Canon S2 IS. 5 MP 12x zoom, 2GB Memory card. I'd go to the zoo, go through three sets of batteries, and get a few hundred pictures each trip. It started getting dead pixels in the sensor. :(

I've upgraded to a Nikon D5000 with the standard 18-55mm lens and a 55-200mm that is used the most at the zoo. Yesterday's trip still had 166 photos taken, and that's a small number. Thankfully I have a metric crapton of hard drive space. :) 1.5 TB of RAID 5 space and several other hard drives that are currently Mostly Unused. :)

lol yea true..i'm from Loveland..do you happen to know if you can get special passes fromthe zoo to get close up of the animals?

Kinda... Do an annual pass, get the emails, and then get the Special Events, which are very expensive each time and the closeups are limited animals.

My special pass for closeups is a 200mm lens. ;) Though something at 400mm would be better, but much more costly.
