Rip... rip... rip... With each pull, Manhaar drops a tissue on the floor beside him, his attention drawn to the new one that pops up in its place
Rip... Nothingness
Manhaar babbles in surprise and mild frustration as he shakes the now-empty box, before pressing his snout into the opening and sniffing, after which he proceeds to discard the box beside him as well, its wonders now exhausted.
Thank you very much! I do quite enjoy drawing babies just being babies. Glad you like this one!

Thank you! On a whim a couple of days ago I decided to try engaging with somebody's role-play-bait comment (usually something I wouldn't do at all), but treated it more like an improv story prompt than actual role-play, and enjoyed doing so. I might have to do that more often if the mood strikes and I have ideas--it might help me figure out how to actually tell some of the stories I have in mind if I start small, with little snippets like that.
Also, thanks for saying so! I've gotten a couple of comments from people saying that it's nice to have something a bit more "vanilla" around. I was worried initially that I wouldn't fit in here at all, that I'd be totally ignored because I'm mostly posting totally vanilla art. I really do appreciate how supportive people have been as of late.

Hehe yeah, I get ya. Sometimes I can't help but write a comment in a more RPish tone, for teasing purposes. And it's always an extra treat when the other person joins in on the fun. XP Doing little snippets like that definitely help with writing stories. As I've said to a friend in tbe past, writing stories is like role-playing with yourself, in a way. You play out all the characters and scenes.
I think sadly more vanilla content can get overshadowed by more naughty work. But it's good to have stuff like this that's just pure and innocent. Cause, that's the otter shell of what the furry fandom is.

Hey, that's fine, some of the stuff I post probably does call for that sort of commentary! It's interesting to try getting into the mindset of different types of characters, too, like baby Manhaar trying to figure out the issue with the tissue. If you give me something to work with (and I'm in the mood, and can think of something) I'll try to play along. I am generally a more modest and reserved person though so things probably won't get too racy.
Well, it's like they say, "tits get hits, and dicks get clicks". Sometimes I wonder if I'm hindering my engagement by not focusing on one fetish like so many of the big names seem to do, but drawing the same thing over and over again gets boring! I'm not out here trying to make a living off art, or monetize anything, so I'm able to just draw and post whatever I want--something I know not every artist has the freedom to do, for various reasons.

Hehe, indeed it does! I think a mix of RP and discussion is what I've seen a lot of people do. It helps give a bit more to the scene, while also commentating on the situation as a whole. I feel you'd make an amazing writer! :3
Oh yeah, very true. The naughty stuff always seems to get the most attraction. I would say that artists shouldn't mainly focus on getting people's dick pic pinups drawn and use only commissions as an income, but it's understandable that in these rough times with everything going on, that kind of thing is really the only way to pay rent and stuff.
But it is what it is. *shrugs* It's still nice to see talented artists in a more PG territory ^^

I'll definitely try the "bit of role-play mixed with actual commentary" approach more--especially if I can think of something interesting to add. Sometimes I just totally blank out and have no idea how to reply to comments, though, or after particularly draining days I lack motivation at all. I don't like leaving people hanging, though, if they took the time to comment. Even a generic "thanks" is acknowledgement and something I think people deserve (assuming it's not a total shitpost or some sort of hurtful/insulting/trolling comment, of course).
As for writing... I wish! I've tried a bit in the past, it's gone alright I guess, maybe I just need more practice. Maybe tossing in a bit of role-play here and there as a sort of improv story, or tucking little bits of character/world-building lore in descriptions here and there, are the sort of baby steps I need.
Thanks again! One bit of advice a friend gave before I joined has definitely rung true so far--post what you want to post, instead of what you think will get views. This way you attract people who are honestly interested in you and your work, whatever that may be.
