To Love My Life Again
I' looking for you in the sky
Baby, let me see your face
I could hear you some time
you walked over roses in pain
And I wanna see you again
your white wings over me
I'm for you, you knew name
and that's why I let you leave...
I'd love to forget...
maybe how to breath this air...
I'd love to love my life... again

How is this song fail at all? It's actually not a bad translation at all. If all you care about in vocal structure is rhyme scheme, you need to delve more into different genres. In a lot of songs, the story telling aspect doesn't use a rhyme scheme that's typical to AA-BB or AB-AB. A good example is the band Counterparts. They don't use hardly any rhyme scheme in their songs, but they still come out very emotional and lyrically genius.
Sorry for the wall of text, haha, but it's hard to insult somebody who did a good job on translating something when you have no backing as to why you think it was bad.

First off, I never said there was anything wrong with lyrics that didn't rhyme. But as you said, those are different genres. What he was trying to accomplish involved a rhyme scheme.
Secondly, are you SERIOUSLY trying to start an argument over something that was said almost a year ago? xD You have some serious problems, man.

that's uhm... pretty fail :C
Sorry, I just hate when ppl translate songs x.x
You said it right here, haha. He got some good lyrics out of the translation. I'm honestly not trying to start an argument, I'm just trying to understand why you told him that he did a bad job when he didn't. It's not your place to tell him he didn't do something well when he did the best with what he was given, and it turned out very decent.

Oh damn. Staying civil isn't your strong suit, eh?
I didn't start drama, nor is there any occurring right now. It's between two people talking music and, at least in the beginning, being very rational about it. I stated why I believed your critique was incorrect and you came back with reasons why you thought they were. It has nothing to do with myself being a furry, or a "drama whore". I just wanted to get my point across that rhyme scheme is not as prominent today as it was before, and what he did with this translation was fairly good compared to what most do.

Okay, I'm confused. My opinion is now funny? Can you explain where I went wrong with that statement? Because last time I checked, I'm entitled to my own opinion as well. For somebody who wants to call me out for being a typical furry "drama whore", you seem to just be stirring the pot.
I was stating that I found your critique to be lacking in the fact that the song was composed decently, given the translation. Rhyme scheme, while an important factor in some music, has lost it's luster in the past few years, and I can see why a song can still be good even if it doesn't have a definitive AB-AB or AA-BB scheme to it.

ok this is ridiculous. People have the right to see others opinions as wrong. Critiques are opinions. Therefore when translated People have the right to see others critiques as wrong. In this case i agree with Vloggah. I believe your critique was wrong and lacking in reasoning. All you said was that "that's uhm... pretty fail" and then you said "Sorry, I just hate it when people translate songs x.x" I can see why you may not enjoy it with songs that are done poorly, but this song was very much the opposite. These lyrics mean a lot and the way they are sung work very well. Especially for a retro song. The instruments are very well done. They aren't complicated, but they definitely work well with each other and don't take away any focus from the vocals. I think this song was a complete success in what they were trying to accomplish. So yes, I also believe, your critique is wrong.
