The Wolfen growled, fur bristling over his massive frame as he rose, the top of his head almost brushing the heavy timbers. "You sure you want to play this game, dragon? Just because you have fangs doesn't mean you can bite."
A smirk cracked across the face of the orange-scaled dragoness, her green eyes twinkling with mischief. "I'll say it again. You're cheating. These bones are loaded. The real ones are beneath the mug. Its a nice trick to pull off without sleeves. Very hard to catch." She reached out with her claws and flicked the wooden mug over, revealing the dice beneath it as the amber liquid pooled on the wooden table.
The Wolfen's eyes widened in shock before burning with a feral rage. The brute roared, flipping over the table with a howl as he stepped forward, the tavern patrons scattering. The dragon's eyes sparkled even more as she leapt up from her stool, slamming the pommel of her sword into her opponent's lupine muzzle, snapping back his head. She rushed in, slamming her knee into his chest to double him over. He staggered back disoriented. The wooden stool shattered over his head and he dropped to the ground. Kathalia tossed the ruined chair over her shoulder, sliding the pile of coins into a pouch, leaving some to pay for the damages. "Pleasure playing with you, friend, but I'd rather an honest opponent." She turned an exited into the drifting snow outside.
"That was amazing!" The blue-skinned treefolk exclaimed, a little bit of awe in her voice. "I was watching him this whole time and never noticed the swap with the mug! How did you catch him using the loaded dice?"
"It was pretty easy. I switched in my own loaded dice earlier in the game. It was pretty easy to notice the switch."
"So you were cheating too?!" Gwee exclaimed, a blush of blue crossing her face.
"I consider it... evening the odds." Kathalia smiled, looking back at the snow swirling around the tavern. "Probably worth getting out of here before he wakes up though..."
