Who knows... maybe somebody told him to get dressed even though it's his day off and his plans for the day don't include getting dressed?
That, or somebody is at the door, and he's annoyed by the prospect of having to put additional clothing on to deal with that. Which he might not even bother to do. I suppose one way to scare off those annoying door-to-door salesfolk is to swing open the door wearing nothing but your undies and an annoyed expression!
