This is a loopable accompaniment intended as an exercise for guitar beginners like me. Itconsists of 4 different chord patterns which I repeated once each. (the first one even twice)
I mainly uploaded this for my friend
rhodrick, but naturally everyone is welcome to download this and jam a little.^__^
....Especially my friend
astorshepherd. :D
You can play the A Minor respectively C Major to this. Expecially the according pentatonic should fit everywhere. Even open stings work! At least I have a lot of fun with it. It's slow enough to püractice even bendings leisurely. So you can try this if you get bored of Pentatonics.
Feel free to ask if you have some questions about how this works! I'll try to answer them all!
Have fun!
A minor pentatonic (root position):

I just postet this for everybody who has to practice scales, in order to learn guitar, and is bored from simply playing them up and down.
This is a good exercise to practice scales, especially pentatonics. I've spent about 4 hours today and I just can'T get enough of it. :D I thinks this is great to learn how to improvise solos.
This is expecially for you because I know that you're learning to play guitar - just like me.^^ I want to share this and hope you have as much fun with it as I have. I recommend you to put this in your MP3 player in a loop and improvise over the a minor pentatonic....and maybe do practice some bending.

btw. I don't really know how you familiar you actually are with scales and pentatonics. If you want I can PM you some exercises my teacher assigned me to do.
I'm always anxious to share such things to help my fellows, especially as you told me that you don't take any lessons.

My guitar techer told me lately: If you want a cool, smooth guitar sound you need to play laid back. Wich means to play slightly behind the drums.
I think you're doing it right, cuz' playing exactly comes always first off. But maybe you should try to play a bit laid back. I trust my teacher, he's a very expierienced guy.
