Here's a photo showing my most recent anime pickup on the most recent movie store run, that being none other than the complete first season/Indigo League of Pokemon. This is something i've definitely been waiting a long time for seeing as i never had the entire original run before now with only ever owning a half dozen or so of the old three episode VHS volumes and couple of DVD singles released by Viz Video and Pioneer back in the late '90s and early 2000's which i've had since i was a little kid. Needless to say, i am definitely stoked to finally have it in my collection now considering just how nostalgic the Indigo portion of the series is to me and how much i had watched it both on TV and VHS.

Note: This is the reissued box set version of the three volume release from a few years ago with the individual sets all together which doesn't include the holiday themed episode "Holiday Hi-Jynx" unlike the prior single and box set releases due to controversies surrounding her original pre edited design, though i've already got the original DVD single disc volume containing it on there. Also missing here is "Beauty and the Beach" owing to it's unusual status with having been skipped over during the initial syndicated airing cycle of Indigo/Season 1 back in 1998, this is due to a few shots which include James (Kojiro) dressed as a woman at the Aopulco beach contest in a swimsuit with fake breasts alongside Jessie (Musashi). It was retroactively broadcast with the offending scenes edited out as a special episode on Kids WB during the Orange Islands' first run a couple years later. Therefore leading it to be excluded from all of the season's home video releases due to having this designation not fitting in with the total package number as a result of the circumstances that lead to it's initial skipping by 4Kids. I do have a recorded copy of the dub and a fansubbed copy of the Japanese Pocket Monsters version known as Holiday in Aopulco.
