This is Alakor! One of my favorite gryphons lately, as well as one of my most mysterious birds. Alakor is a snow gryphon, a species known for their white feathers, black markings, and overall impressive size. Alakor outweighs most other gryphons by a good margin.

He's one of the featured characters in my online serialized fantasy novel, Princess of Beasts. Alakor's species is forced to serve the Golden Union, the dominant power in his corner of the world. To escape his people's forced servitude, Alakor defects to a massive airship named The Cataclysm. That ship, it's motley crew of gnolls, kobolds, lizardfolk, gryphons and a dragon...along with it's captain, a former Imperial Princess named Nira, are all that remains of the Golden Union's greatest enemy.

It's Alakor's defection to Nira's ship, and all the ominous secrets he brings with him, that kick off the events of...Princess of Beasts.
