The Summer of Sond continues, with 'Moonrakerssss'!
41 years ago today, 'Moonraker' was released in theatres across North America. And so, now we have the poster for the Sond version. Here's the original Bond poster for comparison: https://www.dropbox.com/s/tkngvw85x83o981/11-Moonraker3.jpg?dl=0

Taki outdid himself with this re-creation, and while I've told him as much personally, I must commend him publicly for his grand effort on this complex, seven-character piece, wherein he designed all the girls seen here, and the golden scarab villain, based on my ideas.
-
Guest-starring an alternate-reality, bipedal version of Ehmyt Taseni ( https://www.furaffinity.net/view/15998137/ ), as Jaws!

As is tradition, a Sond scene is below. Given that the 'stage' for the poster image is within the space station that appears at the climax of the film, we take you there, now.

The thing that looms up out of the darkness in front of Ames Sond's eyes is as awe-inspiring as it is unsettling.
The massive space station - which is akin to a miniature city - is a marvel of engineering, as well as deceit.
Hugo Drax, or more accurately, his company, Drax Industries, had somehow undertaken the entire operation to build something that had never been made before - entirely in secret.
"He must have the most sophisticated radar jamming tech ever created, both here and at the launch site," says the python's co-pilot, in awe.
The only reason for it to have been created covertly, the constrictor code-named 00S knew, is that it is meant for nefarious purposes. The same utter secrecy had worked to make the concealed laboratory in Venice vanish into thin air, almost as soon as Sond had reported it to his superiors.
The nerve gas he witnessed killing scientists in that lab had chilled the naga to his bones, but the way the entire operation had been replaced by an opulent office for Drax to sit in and pretend that the python was insane, that was all the more terrifying. The bodies, the tonnes of equipment, surely costing millions, had all gone in a matter of mere hours.
The snake hadn't given in, though. M had trusted his agent's report, and had allowed Ames to pursue another avenue.
In South America, Sond had followed the trail to a covert launch facility. Through rivers and jungles, he had been waylaid, attacked, fought, for much of his progress.
But now, it has all paid off. He and Dr Holly Goodhead, his beautiful ally from the CIA, are moving to dock their hijacked Moonraker shuttle with the space station, and Sond will finally have the answers he's been hunting for, since the beginning of the entire case.
Sond glances over at the roadrunner, watching her ensure that they fall in line with the pre-programmed route and procedures that Drax had laid out for his precious little fleet. As much as it was partially automated, Ames knew he could never have gotten this far without Holly and her training from NASA, as well as her time undercover with Drax Industries' space division.
Just as the serpent is about to thank the good Dr Goodhead, there is a loud *THUNK* as the space-shuttle is secured.
Leaning forward to tilt her beak up and look at the vaguely alien shape of the space-borne architecture, Holly breathes, "Hopefully we can just blend in with the rest of the crew."
"With everyone arriving in the five other shuttles shuffling around, there's sure to be a crowd."
~
Indeed, there is.
Repeated announcements over an ever-present intercom system herds the numerous crew in their mustard yellow, silver-trimmed jumpsuits, as well as the 'specimens' in their white outfits. All but the people in essential positions who were scrambling to stations throughout the station, were told to report to the main module at the centre of it all.
Ames and Holly both inwardly hope that the two yellow-suited pilots they knocked out and stripped of their clothes, back in the launch facility, had not been anyone crucial for the station's survival. Said pilots are certainly not here now, to perform whatever their respective duties are.
The rotation of the station provided something approximating Earth's gravity, and the many pawns in Drax's plan reported dutifully to the central area.
The well lit room was comprised entirely in black and white. A dizzying array of complex panels with read-outs, controls, lights, and varying buttons and switches were nearly everywhere. Enormous tube-like hallways through which people walk dominate much of the lowest level of the 3-floor space. Within the bottom floor are clear domes, two feet high and three feet wide, holding some sort of gyroscopic instrumentation.
Upon the black platforms of the second level, two central consoles are manned, one by a chimpanzee, another by a husky. Out from the thick column in the middle of it all strides the gigantic komodo-crocodile hybrid known as Jaws, taking a spot where he could observe almost the whole room around him.
The python-naga operative had tangled with the brute not too long ago, and had no desire to do so again any time soon. There had been a sliver of hope that the monstrous male with the metal munchers would not appear there, but 00S had not been betting on that kind of luck.
Sond shifts to stand lower on his coils, keeping himself mostly at the rear of the group he had slipped into, alongside his roadrunner companion. The hulking tower of hired muscle named Jaws stands out for more than just his size. Perhaps because there had been no yellow uniform that could ever possibly fit him, the durable lug still wears the exact same outfit he always has: a simple white collared shirt, and deep red suspenders, holding up his brown slacks.
Obviously a custom order, Sond had thought, the moment he had seen the outfit, back during the Stromberg affair.
Curiously, the enormous man is joined by a tiny bespectacled woman, who is only half his size. Given she has pale white skin blotched with pink, white hair and curiously coloured eyes, the miniature mantis maiden appears to be an albino. She wears a yellow jumpsuit, although it is rather baggy on her. It seems there was a minimum size that Drax Industries had not deigned to dip below, for this singularly small female. If she was not at Jaws' side, one would wonder how she had managed to arrive amongst the rest of the crew, for whom there seems to be strict requirements. As it is, one has to surmise that she is a guest of the green-scaled, looming lunk.
High above, there is a hissing and whirring of machinery. Looking up, Holly and Ames observe another tubular passage. This one is filled, not with people, but with identical spheres made of transparent glass and marked with intricate angular lines. Within, there is a indeterminate green substance while the outside of the globe-shaped things are ringed by rust-red, thick hexagonal structures. The red hexagon belts teem with technology one might see upon a satellite.
Under the loud communication of crew checking on the status of various space-station sub-systems, Sond relays to Holly, in a whisper: "Those are the globes I saw in Venice, with the nerve gas phials being loaded inside." As he speaks, the line of strange devices within the cylindrical passage shunts a small distance forward, toward the exterior wall of the module, as if preparing to march outside.
A split-second after the snake speaks, his heart skips a beat, the powerful lights of the room dimming. Despite his worry, Sond stands still. He learned long ago to remain calm until it was clear he had been detected.
Lights come up on the highest platform in the room. It exists to one side of the activity below, and held the end of a massive telescope that had its operational, massive-lens-tipped side somewhere out in the vacuum of space.
Up to the edge of this circular space, steps the billionaire jewel beetle himself, Hugo Drax. His golden carapace shines where-ever those only-remaining-lights can hit it. The light tan suit he wears is clasped shut fully to the neck, with a similarly tight collar, and it covers much of his naturally reflective surfaces.
Though Drax is somewhat short, thanks to half his lineage being that of the typically diminutive 'Sacred scarab' species, his voice seems to belong to a man twice his size.
The powerful, sonorous tone casts out through the whole of the central chamber, deep, calm and even.
This is the voice that had commanded the respect, had inspired the drive, and had summoned the will - to accomplish the impossible, in countless people under him. It is as if this voice, alone, had placed the technological triumph that was the station, into orbit.
"First, there was a dream. Now, there is reality," begins the bug's speech.
"Here, in the untainted cradle of the heavens, will be created a new super-race, a race of perfect physical specimens," at this, both of Drax's two left arms make a sweeping gesture toward the two rows of white-clad volunteers. Four pairs of men and women in each row, they are the first eight breeding pairs of the 'ideal species' seemingly chosen as the best and brightest. No doubt, more specimens wait in other parts of the station, while parts of the yellow-suited crew also stand up straighter, clearly knowing they, too, are part of this unnatural selection.
The English spy and American agent share a glance, beginning to see the shape of the mad insect's plan.
"You have been selected as its progenitors." Drax continues, "Like gods, your offspring will return to Earth, and shape it in their image."
Jaws smiles down at the girl next to him, and she, up at him.
Drax drones on, "You have all served in humble capacities in my terrestrial empire. Your seed, like yourselves, will pay deference to the ultimate dynasty, which I alone have created. From their first day on Earth, your descendants will be able to look up, and know that there is law and order, in the heavens. That which WE will create, in the here and now."
Sond had suspected before, but now he knows the terrible truth. Drax is a complete megalomaniac. The most concerning thing is that he actually has the means and the opportunity to do what other people afflicted with his madness can only dream of doing. He has aims to wipe out all intelligent life on earth. He will then repopulate it with a society that will grow from the seed he has created here, in this station, with these people.
After a few moments of reverent silence, the lights return to normal.
Over the intercom comes an order from a much more mundane male voice, slightly tinny as it is simultaneously projected from the numerous speakers placed in key positions, all over the station.
"All units: begin Operation Orchid."
Every fibre of Sond's being knows, he must do everything he can - including destroying the station with him on it, ending his life and those of everyone present - to put a stop to this 'Operation Orchid.'
The whole of Earth depends upon it.

It IS incredible, yes! :}===<
And although there's a big red stripe on that shuttle outside, on the poster, in the film, the USA is who sends a force to investigate the space-station, once it's made visible to radar on Earth [thanks to Sond].
Thanks for the fave as well, Leika. :>

Oh yeah, the guns mounted to the front, meaning they need to manoeuvre the whole of their suits and selves with whatever mini-rockets propelled them. That was silly! Unless of course the mounted gun on the front of the suit could shift around in its housing, like a gun mounted on a vehicle can. If it was like a mini-turret that somehow aimed on its own, that could be cool.
But yes, handheld would be more agile. Maybe they were really worried about losing them [but a cord attached to the gun and the suit would solve that, haha :P]
Anyway, yes.. re-entry! That scene where they're weightless, but the blanket is also somehow draped down over them as if hanging with gravity. >__>
Such a moment, with a naga, could have coils hanging everywhere in mid-air! :} Perhaps one section of snakebody is blocking the camera's view of the more 'private' spots, hmm?

Well, here's Dolly! https://i.postimg.cc/FssXVy0T/MOONRAKER-JAWS-DOLLY-1-FOTOR-2.jpg
As Jaws is modeled after a bipedal Ehmyt ( https://www.furaffinity.net/view/15998137/ ), and Ehmyt is already paired up with a tiny woman ( https://www.furaffinity.net/view/15922186/ ), I had her in mind for the role of Dolly. As you may have seen in the story, I described Dolly as a tiny pale mantis woman.
But maybe you had gleaned all that already! But yes, I hope to get a picture of Ehmyt and Saa as Jaws and Dolly, at some point. I almost had a sketch comm lined up for that, last year, but then it didn't happen.

I always enjoyed that bit most in the movie when I saw it.
Jaws, a recurring professional... Henchman? Hitman? Heck, maybe he was sent as help through SPECTRE. And he found his love in such a manner that when the master plan got revealed it was enough to make him turn face.
You can see the exact moment in the movie when he goes 'Oh hell no.'

Yeah, I love how he turns too. :}
I had always assumed there was some kind of henchman agency, for you actually do see Drax calling someone to hire some extra help and he has a moment where he says something like "well, if HE's available, absolutely, I want him" - talking about Jaws before he's revealed a bit later.
But now that you mention it, that could have been a call to an organization like Spectre, or Spectre itself, certainly! I mean, we get that 'Blofeld but never named as Blofeld' thing at the beginning of the next movie, For Your Eyes Only, in the pre-titles opener, so the implication is that he's still around, perhaps still with Spectre in the shadows.
On the other hand, real-world legal issues with one of the people who had co-written the original Thunderball story - where Spectre and Blofeld first originated - meant that EON productions couldn't use those concepts at all, from 1975 or so, up to 2013, when it was finally all settled.
Some background: before Thunderball was a book, it was a screen-play project by Fleming and two others, called 'Longitude 78' - when the screen project didn't work out, Fleming adapted it into the book called Thunderball in 1961.. then the Bond films start in 1962, and the book Thunderball became the film of that title, in 1965. One of the co-writers, Kevin McClory, hearing it was being made, sued for damages, a producing created on the film AND he got it so the rights to the concepts of Spectre and Blofeld would return to him, fully, after 10 years. So after 1975, the Bond series could not use such things again.
That's why they basically ended all the Spectre/Blofeld stuff with Diamonds Are Forever in 1971. - But they also have that jab at the character, giving him a more clear and pitiful end, in the opening of For Your Eyes Only, in 1981.
Anyway, in-canon, with that Blofeld-not-Blofeld in FYEO, we could comfortably assume the people Drax contacts for some more muscle could be Spectre, even if it goes unsaid. The concept of Spectre, when they weren't trying to whole the world for ransom was that they engaged in various secretive money-making ventures. A way to connect talented, elite thugs with people wanting to hire them could have ended up being one such thing.

Yes, that was a 'fuck you' to McClory, basically.
also, I meant to say a 'producing credit' in my last comment - McClory is listed as a producer on Thunderball
Also, the unofficial Bond movie 'Never Say Never Again' starring Sean Connery, was made by McClory, and it was just a remake of Thunderball, in 1983, the same year as Octopussy's release.

Other people have asked me about that scene, haha.
Now, if you need a refresher: https://youtu.be/Z-EL1-0MxFs?t=288
I haven't totally decided yet, but here are my thoughts: (funny you said 'she' when you referred to the snake he has to fight... >:}===< )
Just prior to that fight, Bond happens to stand on the edge of the grotto pool, and that rock tips over to make him fall into the water. Then the snake comes out and the fight takes place.
One could say 'how could they know he would stand on that rock?' - perhaps all the rocks were capable of tipping someone into the pond? But anyway, that rock-tipping trap wouldn't really work on a naga, anyway. [Maybe it would, if ALL his coils were piled on a large rock, and the whole thing elevated so that it was 90 degrees up / suddenly vertical, rather than the 45 or so degrees the original movie rock tipped to].
Anyway, instead of fighting a poor animal, and perhaps instead of the rock trap, I was thinking that the initial woman who Sond follows in from outside would lead him straight into the water. She will be a bewitching naga, as if chosen specifically to lure Sond. Perhaps one of his own species, or something near to it.
The whole thing could be done wordlessly, or he could ask her some things and she teasingly tells him she'll tell him everything, if he just joins her in the water.
Having had that exchange or not, he goes in, thinking that he can, of course, charm her into telling him everything he wants to know. And, if she plans on attacking him, he thinks he can take her. There's only one of her, after all.
But once he's in the water and the woman who lured him there has her arms - or one coil - upon him, several other beautiful naga-women would appear from out of the edges of the room / the plants, as if melting in from the walls. They would glide forward, seemingly just as angelic and seductive as the first one, moving slowly and smoothly into the water, smiling at Sond. He would be both very *interested* in such a situation, but also, his spy instincts would be setting off alarms in his head.
The ladies would all be various constrictor species, perhaps all python types, to go with how the original movie's snake was a python. Ames Sond is also a python, so perhaps Drax's plan here was to kill Sond with a reflection of the spy himself. (Or, hey, maybe they should all be anacondas, because they're kinda legendarily big, and are definitely a snake that's at home in the water _and_ they're in the right region of the world, that's native to anacondas, the amazon.)
Although one of them should certainly be an anaconda, the idea of them all being various species of constrictor would fit in with the original scene making them a wide swath of different ethnicities, beautiful examples of each. Drax had gathered people from all over the world and all that, as you probably recall.
In any case, they all slip into the water as if they want to cuddle, but cuddling with constrictors can turn to something much more deadly, very quickly. They could all remain seemingly 'loving' or even appearing lustful as their coils are actually crushing at Ames.
Sond would appear doomed, for he will not be able to fight so many strong snakes. He could perhaps best one or two other nagas, but against 5 or 6? Impossible!
So he only just barely manages to use the poison pen (maybe changed to be a pen with a knockout serum in it - if only because the cinema of 1979 is not ready for the hero Sond to kill a woman?). He kills or claims to have killed one of the snake-ladies, and makes the claim that he has enough poison to kill all the others, which gets them to back off - in truth, he would have used all the liquid in the pen already on just one, and if it IS a knock-out serum, it's a double bit of deceit.
Now, that just leaves my version with the nagging question: why does Drax then say Sond spoiled his plan for an amusing death for Sond? With Jaws there, you could imagine that Jaws would take the poison pen away from Ames, and the naga-girls could go back to killing him. Haha, there's always going to be questions as to the logic of these things.
I would say that the moment, in Drax's mind, was ruined by Sond driving all the women back / out of the pool, requiring Drax to order Jaws to intervene and pull the spy out of the water.
Or, hey, maybe I should just have the poison pen be a knockout pen with many uses, and he actually puts ALL the constrictor-ladies to sleep? The water would be strewn with floating coily bodies. I suppose my idea of him bluffing to claim he has more "poison" when he doesn't really seemed like a nice Bondian touch.
What do you think?
~
Alternately, the woman who lures him into the water could be a woman of a quintessential prey species to a snake, such as a mouse or a rabbit. The other snakes would appear and slip into the pool, while the prey-girl keeps Sond distracted. Upon noticing the arrival of the other nagas, the prey-woman would easily clamber out of the pool while Sond is grabbed by his 'new admirers' - but it makes a bit more sense, I think, to have all the women be snakes, for a sort of total unifying theme / group concept. And, having a naga hold him in the pool while the others arrived is more practical.
I'm not sure when I'll get more art pieces for this film, and thereby add more story parts. There are two more things I definitely hope to get illustrated, both of which are talked about in the other comments here.
They are: The 'Snake Fight' in the huge comment above, and a picture of the Sond version of Jaws and Dolly standing together, so one can really see the difference in size between them.
Additionally, the written scene I included below this poster was going to be longer, so I'm going to write and post that soon.

Making Jaws into a shark-man is too obvious. It might also have been copyright infringement because, in this world, the movie 'Jaws' from 1975 was already about a monster shark man terrorizing a small town. >__>
Moonraker seems to be pretty popular. I suppose a lot of people were smitten with the space aspect?

Yay, SPACE! The ultimate frontier! Lasers! [pew pew]
XD
You can't unlike space adventures. Unless you're dealing with unpleasant aliens that make their off-spring burst out of people's chests. So rude! ù.ù
Oh and I don't care that shark-man is too obvious for Jaws, the name is just spot on... Let's turn it into a crossover episode and make it so that the creature from "Jaws" is indeed Mr Jaws the strongest henchmen, a by-product of SPECTRE secret laboratories XD (don't actually take this as advice, this is dangerously close to Dr. Evil levels of ridiculousness... "... Sharks with laser beams attached to their heads!"

I like Alien and Aliens, though! O:
I wonder if I should eventually get a picture of 'Jaustin Towers' - the Sond-verse equivalent of Austin Powers. He would be a dorky looking smaller serpent of some kind, or a lizard. And if Blofeld is a centipede.. what would Dr Evil be?? Well, if it's the Sond-verse equivalent of Mike Myers, who played both Austin and Dr Evil, it could be the same dorky Canadian snake [Myers] in a centipede costume, as Dr Evil. :P

Dorky looking serpent uh? Hmmm... Well then I think Jaustin Towers could be either a long-nosed whip snake, or a slow-worm, which curiously is actually a legless lizard and not a snake! It's almost as if a lizard wanted to spoof snakes... XD
And him being inside a centipede costume is quite funny too, eheh

Or, maybe you were surprised by the re-creation of a James Bond poster? There's more here: https://www.furaffinity.net/gallery/amethystine/folder/383195/Ames-Sond-00S/

I do that with all my actor-names, but it's almost always something to do with the latin name of their species. [Take a look at the other posters' names, sometime! :D ]
Drax, in this movie, is a Jewel-scarab beetle [Ruteline Chrysina]: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewel_scarab
And so, the name Michael Lonsdale became Chrys Lonsline - the 'Line' from Ruteline and the 'Chrys' from Chrysina.
I'm not sure if the etymology of 'chrysina' is at all linked to 'chrysalis', but it could be! O:

Which fight/chase music track are you talking about? I mean, does it have a consistent name? There's one I'm thinking of called '007' which was in a lot of the older ones. It's just hard to find it online when looking for '007' >__>

There it is, and look how every track on that album has the '007' inserted, making me think they were ALL that track until I found the one named '007 - 007' D:

Thanks for the name explanation. I'll have to keep a closer eye on that.
And yes, that's the music. Specifically the theme that starts at 0:20. Man, just listening to it makes me want to go watch some of the movies. Been a while. Such happens when I have a daughter; lots more Disney movies instead.

The current idea is October 8th 2021 [although the exact date in October might depend on the country].
It was going to be April 2021 but it just got pushed again recently.
Of course, it was going to be April 2020 and then Novemeber 2020, at first [and before those dates, it was going to be Feb 14th, 2020, and fall 2019 before THAT, but those dates and delays were because of normal things, not the pandemic] Being pushed out of April 2020 and beyond was thanks to Covid.

This poster was the maybe the big trigger in making me shoot to the tail end of your gallery and start it up from the beginning. Of course, this and all the other Sondian things, but this one was the most eye-catching! I was thinking 'This guy doesn't screw around with his commissions' and 'he's pairing it with writing!', so I dipped a few paragraphs in before snapping to the true beginning of your gallery. Now I'm here!
First off, the poster is gorgeous. Absolutely stunning, and I love the diverse variation of animal species included. I especially enjoy jaws being a croco-modo (Ehmyt). Crocos are way cool and I have a penchant for hybrids. :)
The writing is great. I appreciate the balance between back-explanation and mystery, it's written like the back cover of a book (but with more words) and it's hooking me in!

Oh ho ho, so this image was the initial catalyst, hmm? O: That's great! :D
I wonder if you meant 'he doesn't screw around with his commissions' as in.. I took them seriously / made sure to hire top-quality artists for the posters? Or, like, I made sure they were fully realized - like getting all the details translated from original Bond to new Sond things? Or even just.. you saw I was seemingly getting ALL the posters done - not screwing around in the sense of not just getting a few posters remade and then quitting?
This poster IS gorgeous, I'm very tempted to hire Taki for another one, or even just another Sond piece in general. I _do_ still need to get the previous film, 'The Sssspy Who Loved Me'. In my head, TSWLM and MR are linked together, because Jaws is in both of them.
The three ladies floating in the background, they are meant to fit in with the idea of Drax hand-picking 'the best' species to repopulate the world. Although, somewhere as Taki and I were picking the species, the idea of 'the best' was muddled with 'practicality', because a cheetah is the fastest land animal, but then bees and mice are just useful, good colonizers, I suppose.
Anyway, glad you like Ehmyt! :}===<
Thank you for the kind words about my writing, once more - and thanks for the fave, of course! I leaned into the mystery, because the first time watching the movie, I think evil plot in Moonraker is perhaps one of the more mysterious ones, it's unclear what Drax is planning on doing, for a while. As opposed to other ones where the threat is ongoing and the 'mystery' is who's behind it (even though it's basically never unclear to the audience who the villains are, in these things).
Also, while I'm here, thanks for the fave on the Live and Let Ssspy poster! There's no writing on that one post thanks to how I had just put it up at that point for the anniversary of the release - and I had those other writing posts up separately and all.

At the time I believe I was thinking 'not screwing around' to probably be in part, multiple things: the poster looks like a big, high-detail commission; it was a stellar near pose-by-pose ('near' as Sond can't quite get into a bipedal human pose) recreation faithful to the original image; I could tell then that you had a repeating, cohesive theme to previous works; it appeared to be an ongoing project from many years back and was readily continuing; and it seemed to be a labor of love to the Bond franchise, personalized in your own fashion! So, pretty much all the things you mentioned, plus!
Jaws is a nice bit of glue between the films. Even though people may chastise Moore as being 'too goofy' (even myself), I think people are endeared to Jaws. And Ehmyt and Saa, what a sweet happenstance that they get to be together even in Moonrakersss.
We'll just have to wait and see who you pick for which of the next posters! It'll be a while though, I'm sure, for the time lag it takes to manage it before it even gets started if an when one of your chosen artists considers it.
As for picking the 'best species' to repopulate, it would be up for debate even if you backed your choices with hard scientific fact, I'm sure. :P I mean, look at deer, perfect symbols of nature and... they're pretty? Damn. How can I make deer seem useful enough that Drax would consider them to be part of his ark?
I can't even remember the criteria in the movie; was it Nazi stuff? Drax was a Nazi in the book, if I'm remembering right.
You're welcome for all the faves. You earned them, of course. Attracting my attention with wonderful writing and these clever commissionings of yours.

Oh, I have some poster artists picked out, already. Two of them are busy, and one hasn't even seen my message yet, I think. :P
In the film, Drax doesn't appear nazi-ish at all. He's got people from all kinds of races, all in the prime of their life. It was a very bio-diverse group. If he had been a nazi with only white, blond-haired, blue-eyed people or something like that, I would have made all the people all the same creature-type. Like, all bugs, as if he was a beetle who wanted a bugs-only world. [I considered tweaking the master plan to be something like that - bugs taking over, or dinosaurs 'undoing their extinction' in a manner of speaking]
But, the many races thing from the real movie made it so a wide variety of anthro-types was the most fitting.
As for his actual reasoning: He's just a madman, trying to kill all the people, to restart the world, to save it. He doesn't specifically say it's because of pollution or anything. The only hint is that he mentions how people will know there is 'order in the heavens', so maybe it's more that he doesn't like how the world is being governed.
In some cases, I could agree with him. :P

Nice haiku, my friend
You've got a real knack for them
And yet, so do I
So, I will answer
this whole comment, in poe-emm
-- it amuses me
My big master plan
would never kill anyone
simply transform them
All shall be serpents
the nerve gas in globes, replaced
with airborne potion
I appreciate the sentiment, but honestly, many other movies have had MUCH better space-battles. In - you know - actual sci-fi films? hahaha
This is certainly the film with the best space battles set in the modern day setting of 1979, though, sure! It feels more grounded and 'realistic', in a weird way - even if it's totally not.
Thank you for the fave on this one and on so many others. :>
