Thanks! Very true, perhaps Chance has gone snowboarding in the past, and has some basic idea of how to balance on a board?
In Domingo's defense, he does come from the desert, so there's not a lot of water to practice surfing on.
A few years later, I ended up introducing another member of Chance's species that's actually a surfer and a local, his name is "Fang Bro" and I've thought about he and Chance being friends or even related (they look like they could be cousins). Maybe Fang Bro taught Chance how to surf when he came to visit one time.
