Seminole Sam, the swamp fox, makes a reappearance! In the story he's taking advantage of Howland Owl working up to introducing himself as candidate for Congress to storm in and take the nomination. For me, I didn't have the energy for all that. He's looking a bit pudgy in my redrawing. But, I like his leg shape, and how his belly folds into that shape. Kelly has a particular way of drawing a drooped tail that I haven't yet gotten. I drew his outreached paw without staring at the original and I'm glad how it turned out. I'm again using a thick brush to fill in Sam's jacket, rather than flood-fill. I used a white brush to put in the highlights, though, and I like the way that looks.
