Amrik Ally Pride
Here we are, the tenth and final drawing for this project, and something a bit different for the end. Yes Amrik is just your regular ol cis straight boi, however he's included as a proud ally to the LGBTQ+ community.
Also yes that is what he looked like before shit went down, hence no drippy Void eyes. Honestly at least 80% of characters I make nowadays end up on the spectrum in some way or another, so just straight cis folks like him have become a rare sight. Though in all my stories any cis straight person is automatically an ally because I never include hate and phobia of the community in my works. Fiction or not, there is far too much of it in this world as it is, so instead I want to create stories and places where people get to be who they are without pain or prejudice. In my stories the LGBTQ+ community has always existed, always been part of every community, always been normal. Because I want my characters to be happy, just like I wish it could be in this world as well.
So I felt it important to include him to show appreciation to our allies. For everyone truly accepting, for everyone who joins the fight with us, for everyone who wants to learn and understand, for everyone welcoming, for those reformed, for all those who are with us in this. Because our allies matter and I want them to know that they are appreciated. Together we fight for the freedom to be ourselves and to be loved and accepted for who we are.
With that the HK OC pride project has come to an end, there are still many flags that need to be added, but I hope to add more next year and bring the project back. It all depends on the characters that come to me, but there already is a new one in the works, they just aren't fully finalized yet so I didn't want to force anything for a deadline. I'm happy to have been able to finish this, I rarely manage to stick to something like that (hence why I never do things like Inktober) so this is quite a personal accomplishment for me. In any case I had fun doing this and I hope y'all could enjoy it too, though I was a bit spammy with it lol.
