Oh Yes you're definitely getting your hand back! That doodle is drawn very clean, meaning the lines aren't scratchy and the color is withing the lines. Shadow and highlights are well placed. It often doesn't need the HQ shading, simpler yet clean is also very pleasing for the eye.^^ Also that chibi style was and is still heck of adorable!
