After drawing the Ridgebacks quite frequently in 2014, I didn't do much with them in 2015... but here's Rhill, exploring one of the abandoned mining facilities, looking for useful things like food, tools, ammunition and so on.
When the offworlders left, they didn't bother to pack up most of their supplies, and in their absence the mining facilities deteriorated quite quickly as a result of the desert's harsh sandstorms, temperature extremes and torrential rains.
The light he carries is an electric torch, the sort commonly used by the offworlders in the mines.

Rhill grunts in surprise as he turns around, his free hand instinctively reaching into his bag and clutching the handle of his hatchet... Usually much more aware of his surroundings, perhaps the sounds of the offworlder's approach were lost amid the distant echoing bangs of loose metal siding slamming against the building in the wind, and the constant yet oddly soothing clinking of raindrops on the steel roof above...
Upon realizing this offworlder isn't a threat, but rather a fellow forager, Rhill eases his grip on the hatchet handle as he takes a closer look at them, before grunting something in his native Ridgeback language. Taking a few steps towards a dark hallway, Rhill grunts again, gesturing with his torch to follow, as he clambers around a fallen pipe and makes his way deeper into the long-abandoned structure...
Very glad you like this one! This building is definitely falling apart without upkeep, but it might be worth the risk if there's useful supplies left behind, or at the very least it's a decent place to take shelter from a sudden storm. I tried to role-play back a bit, but it's not something I do all that often, hopefully I did alright.

Thanks! I've been trying my hand at this role-play stuff a bit, when people give me something to play off (and I'm in the mood, and I can think of a good response).
Unfortunately, I'm not sure how to continue the adventure--these old facilities are mazes of dark rooms and hallways, collapsed supports and pipes, hanging wires, jammed doors, and the occasional missing wall or roof panel leaving the interior exposed to the elements.
No two have the same layout, and there's no telling what might be down that next hallway. A long-deserted control room full of consoles and terminals that will never boot up again? Or a dining hall and pantry with a stockpile of rations still sealed in their pouches and canisters? Perhaps a security room or armory, with some ammunition that's still live, power packs for blasters that still have some charge, and weapons that aren't completely rusted out or jammed up with dust...
