I found Richter Belmont is by far the most overrated of the Belmont clan. Though I have to say, Dracula X Chronicles did a nice job reinventing him. It's nice to see someone of Eastern European origins living in the late seventeen hundreds wearing mostly appropriate attire. I never understood why the original had him look like Ryu from Street Fighter.
Ah, the unofficially gay Belmont. Actually, Julius has his pros. If nothing else, he's got the benefit of not super powered beyond all reason. Then again, the whole amnesia thing is kinda weak story telling.
Personally I've always had a soft spot for Simon. Castlevania II: Simon's Quest was the one that got me interested in the series.
