Under Eden: You Can't Run Forever
"You can't run forever. Sooner or later, it will come bleeding into your present, choking your senses with the taste of salt and copper. You want to forget? You will never forget. It will come for you in the end, as it always does."
Started out as a study in perspective, but then I started thinking abt trauma. You never forget the darkest moments of your life and sometimes life won't ever allow you to forget. There will be reminders everywhere. You can choose to run, but you can't run forever.
Troy Budapest is a man haunted by his past and has been running since. But the more he runs, the more he leaves those he loves behind, and if he doesn't stop they will soon be as the ghosts he tries to escape.
In the revised Under Eden, there will be more focus on Troy as a character. I can't wait to write the chapter with him in it.
