These two hams are scarlet macaws, the largest of the parrots. I love their plumage because it's so incredibly colorful and vibrant. If I had the means and the space, I'd adopt macaws and other large birds into my home, but alas...that's just a distant dream. These are beautiful birds but my true favorites within the parrot group are the hyacinths...

On a side note, does anybody else think that the sounds macaws make (any of them) sound like what a raptor dinosaur might've sounded? I think they do, especially Military Macaws, :D.
