Some time back, I found this awesome musician, Cal, who you'll find here as
dingomutt.
I approached him about writing a theme for Cody and Turner, something that was at once epic and yet light and fun. Something that evoked the nature of their relationship, joyous and loving but also very playful.
WOW, did he deliver. This is the finished result... and I can't say enough about how much I love it. As it starts off, I can imagine the pair setting out on a journey together... maybe the rhythmic motion of a locomotive pulling out of the station. As sunrise breaks the dawn of a new day, the lovers face a new adventure.
Cal delivered this to me as an untitled piece. I couldn't help but notice a few phrases in it that remind me of Pachelbel's Canon in D Major, particularly the chord progressions. I therefore took the liberty of calling the piece, "Canon for Cody and Turner" in honor of Cal's exceptional accomplishment. Bravissimo!

Beautiful piece! I shall have to comment on the composer's page too, but it describes what you say very convincingly.
I'm just a little uncomfortable with it being called a canon (sorry my training forces me to say this), but a canon (including Pachelbel's one) is simply a musical device where a melody comes in and is "copied" by another 'voice' (instrument), usually it's the same thing playing a few bars afterwards, though it can also be done with other forms of imitation (upside-down, slower, faster, by retrograde whatever!)
But who cares, it's just a title after-all!
