I've been in the mood for some Minecraft lately, and I really wanted to do a diapered Ender Dragon!
Come to think of it, why exactly are you slaying the Ender Dragon in the first place? I mean what did she ever do to upset anyone? Jean isn't like those hostile mobs trying to claim your head, neither is she like the pillagers who just want to slaughter friendly villagers, Even the Endermen aren't really hostile until you look at them funny. For all we know she could just be trying to protect her baby from an intruder! What about that dragon head on that end ship? Could that be her dead husband? Are we trying to make these creatures extinct!? Anyways, I should probably stop before we think about this too hard... So here's Jean just resting in the end, really hoping another speedrunner doesn't barge in again to kill her.

The 'Ender Dragon' has a name? If so, how nice it is to know as saying 'The Ender Dragon' over-and-over gets a bit, well, less personal. Makes her more of a 'thing' than a living creature.
You make good points about how you are tasked to kill her to 'finish' the game. Though, I think, there are some MODs that give entirely different missions. However, if I guess right, they are 'Download at your own risk'.
My son has been deeply into Minecraft since he was 5. He still plays and is now working on a MOD with a friend.

Ever play one of the spin-off games, 'Terraria'? Now there's a game that you have to ask why you have to kill someone. The only way you get 'The Wall Of Flesh' is to voodoo doll kill your guide!

When I saw Terraria when it first came out, I had my doubts about it. Back then it just seemed like Minecraft but worse, however from what I've heard the game has changed things up and updated itself to become its own thing, and that its really good now. I haven't played it so I can't really judge, but I have played a similar game called Starbound, which is like Terraria, but has a more Sci-Fi theme to it, also, you can play as an anthropomorphic avian in that game! Starbound has a story, and a reason to kill the final boss, which is like the avatar of destruction that's trying to destroy the universe.
I mean Terraria was already unique from Minecraft with the RPG style progression and unique equipment choice. With Minecraft it's just "get yourself some diamond armor and weapons" but in Terraria, you have to think about which class type you want to focus on.
Of course, since 1.2, Terraria actually became my favorite game above Minecraft with over 2000+ hours of playtime.

A game where you can play as an avian? I would be so all-in for that.
My son got into Terraria as much as he did with Minecraft. Sadly, the sequel to Terraria never came to be. (I barely saw Minecraft before losing the last of my sight. However my son has played Terraria on Wii U, PC, and Switch to the point I know quite a lot about it.)
Games, like Minecraft, Terraria, and the sort are very time-consuming. So it is impossible to play them all, unless you are like my son who has been playing these games since he was 6 and now is 13. :)
Golly... I look back when I was in college and could put 80+ hours into Final Fantasy VII and still have time for other stuff. How things change once one must start 'adulting'. *Shrugs* (Being totally blind doesn't help much, though. Not many games playable that are 'mainstream' when you have no eyesight. Though, Pokémon Go! works and, with some help, I can do 'Mortal Kombat'.)

Me: Yes she’s right he…
(Sees villagers surrounding her)
HEY! STOP!
(Villagers stop and look at me)
She gives you know harm! We are here to save her mom.
Villager: Save her? That dragon was about to destroy our town.
Me: No she’s not! She was just trying to find her daughter and I’ve been taking very good care for her.
How would you like it if someone trapped your mother?
Mayor: He’s right. We had no idea.
SET HER FREE!
(Unlocks cage and saves Jean’s Mom)
