For some reason this just kinda hits me head on with memories of playing Excitebike when I was a kid..... Good times.

Excuse me if I missed it somewhere but what exactly do you ink with?

Right now I'm using a Faber Castell brand PITT brush pen with sepia ink. Inking black is too harsh for me, and since most of my inked work then is manipulated digitally, color doesn't really matter. I do have them in other colors as well, I suppose when my sepias run dry I'll switch to them.

If it's something requiring more controlled, super detail, then I'll switch to a rigid nib, but I like the wobbly, expressive brush tip as much as possible.

I used to be on about black Microns because I like their ink flow but I find their tips wear out rather quickly.

Thanks for the comment! Interesting that you find black too harsh I personally love to work with pitch black ink on paper. Do you work on any specific paper?

This image looks to me like I probably used a Faber-Castell because the Micron ink comes out faster and makes for looser slash marks.
