As a summer person, I can never wait for winter to be over and done with. so, maybe he's just having some wishful thinking?

It's okay, it took him like 4 years but when I re-posted this here during the Great Migration, it posted on July 1st--meaning not only was it summer, but since he lives in my universe's equivalent of the United States, it was nearly the 4th of July weekend! We're just gonna pretend there wasn't a global pandemic in the real world that year...

I have to say I'm more of a winter person myself, as I really dislike the heat and humidity and bugs and allergies that come with the summer... but then I remember that winter comes with snow and ice and god-awful Christmas music that starts halfway through autumn...

At least I tend to have a couple days in April and, like, a week in September that I enjoy!

I've discovered on KOL that summers here where I live aren't too far off from those in Florida. So that may help explain my fondness. My ancestors are the native tribes in that region.

My various human/humanoid 'sonas actually do fairly accurately represent what I look like in real life--I'm a fat ginger, the sun is my natural enemy and I don't handle heat and humidity all that well. Even losing weight over the past few years hasn't helped with that. Curse my weak bloodline... I'm not even one of those people that can wear shorts outside in winter, although I am *that guy* that typically won't wear a jacket if it's above freezing outside unless I'm going to be outdoors for an extended period of time.

On the other hand, Arnau here is a hyena--native to the hot plains of Africa, and for some reason in-universe a lot of the hyenas seem to live in the Mediterranean region as well. I get the feeling that he absolutely despises winter, and may even be one of those people that wears a hoodie in 80-degree weather...

Hey, it's not really properly summer till it's 90 or hotter. ;P
