Half-human, as I recall from the series. And as Spyro would point out, he has friends who are cheetahs and fauns -- what's the big deal about a dragon who sometimes turns into a smooth-skinned biped?

Fanart is not cannon. Also, it's not Zoophilia if the animal in question has human capabilities, such as being able to talk and stand on two legs.
