In late 2015, I was introduced to something called "Fursona Generator", a webpage that would generate random character prompts. I played with it a bit in early 2016 and got a few decent prompts out of it, and made a bit of a series out of designing characters based on them.
The prompt for this one was "scene deer. it loves to wear combat boots with cute stickers all over them. it is a cheerleader."
Meet Blythe. Not much to say here, just a high-school cheerleader deer. I ended up making her be friends with Alexis, Leilani, and Circe--she seemed like she'd fit right in with them.

Seems to be sort of a jump-pose that cheerleaders typically do. As to how long she may be in the air... Well, as you said. Sometimes explaining something fun takes the fun out of it. Much as I enjoy world-building and exploring mysteries, I do have a healthy respect for the occasional "because I said so" type of explanation. MST3K Mantra/Bellisario's Axiom comes to mind. Both have the same basic message: "It's just a tv show, so don't take it too seriously". In this case, it's a fun piece of art that may not need over-explaining.
Besides, we all know this is just the freeze-frame shot at the end of the episode, and soon the credits will start rolling as the end theme plays.
True, not everything needs to be explained, at least right away. I think that's something that honestly holds me back from storytelling sometimes, for whatever reason I'm afraid of having any unanswerable questions. Or, worse yet, coming up with a better idea later on than what I originally went with...

I've been world-building on some stuff since around the time I was 5. A lot of that stuff has evolved as I grew older and learned more (and sometimes as science itself has learned more, so it could teach me more), so I'm no stranger to occasionally retconning some old ideas, or simply having the older/outdated info being alternate reality stuff. That's part of the fun of embracing the concept of truly infinite realities. Non-canon or even retconned stuff can be explained as simply being the result of some alternate universe's version of a character/place/etc. And can be revisited from time to time, if one wishes. There are times I've worked up scenarios for "what if Vlad's people had never encountered the Omnians", which is why I sometimes still do world-building on his world. Because in one reality, he is still a dragon on a world populated largely with dragons, who still has family and friends and colleagues, and a job as one of the top aerospace/weapons designers on the planet...
