This ship belongs to the same Unit as the first one I posted of these. White antireflective paintjob instead of camo, however, it´s looking a little used.
I´ll upload this one with explanatory pointers in the scraps, if anybody is interested.
The paintjob on the back of the Magna Crea depicts a stylisied map of the Espen Collective, a fairly large assembly of worlds in the Espen star cluster.
Maybe I´ll do a real paintjob one day, as they actually are usualy much more elaborate than this, painting landscapes or entire scriptures on the ships hull. Most of the time this is done to keep the crew busy: the fact that it adds weight doesn´t matter as much in the age this takes place: a species that can build antimatter drives can deal with a few thousand kilograms of extra weight in paint.
Ships are usually sandblasted in a systematic pattern, after each major checkup, and re-painted with antirad paint: the paintjob gets renewed every time. By the paintjobs, a ship can not only be identified, but it can also be identified when and where the picture had been made.
I think this´ll be the last one of these. Still not happy with it 8( but I guess you gotta work with what you got, hurr.
