And... We're back with another drawing of Sweetie Dash and her family. Those series of curious drawings destined to give context to this family of ponies that I created.
For this occasion, we have Sky, the Magic's big sister learning how to fly with her father Red Dark in the middle of the countryside.
It is important to notice that this scene takes place even before Magic born so of course, Sky is much younger, but she is, in reality, older than Magic.
I don't know why, but this drawing got really complicated to do for me and I still think that I couldn't reach 100% of what I was looking for, but well, I did my best and the result was still good. My favorite part is probably Red Dark's cutie mark as well as Sky's diaper, I tried to imitate some really curious diaper designs that I have seen made by other talented artists.

How cute! So we have met Sweetie Dash as she does her job, Magic while he got one of his preventative vaccines, and now we get to see Red Dark and Sky as father and daughter take to the skies.
I believe we now have gotten a look at the entire family. Though it is possible they have grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles, and other extended family who may show up in a future image and/or story.
It is my guess that drawing this picture was hard because it is a picture of characters you care a lot for? These characters are 'your' OCs and you want to make sure they get plenty of love through your talent. You are not just making a picture. You are creating that 'first impression' to allow Sky and Red Dark to become friends with other pony pals.
I imagine the detail on the diaper must look really good. People may think a diaper is not a major detail. However there is a lot that would need put in to make it not look like it is a part of the character's body who is wearing it. (Diapers should not look as if they are firmly attached, as underwear can be, as they are designed to help provide a space for containing those substances the body is evacuating)
It is great to have a picture of a father taking an active interest in teaching their foal how to be the best pony they can be. Dads often are not shown playing an active part in one-on-one interacting with their children. Red Dark is a good dad.

Thanks, Yosh. Yeah, I think that with this drawing now the basis of the family is already presented, yeah, there are other members in the family but not so important for the moment, so we will focus on those. The drawing was complicated because of the poses of the characters as well as because I don't have references of them, so it was hard to create all the necessary things. I also think that Red Dark is a great father, he worries so much about his sons, a topic that we will develop more in the future probably ;)
