I must thank 
upwinger for commissioning me this, because I loved drawing Pyanfar, and I had in mind a Chanur fanart sooner or later. I didn't made it through the whole saga yet, 'cause finding the books in Italian at an affordable price its not that easy. Just got "Homecoming" and is on my reading list asap.

I read the Faded Sun Trilogy omnibus and remember absolutely nothing about it. I've enjoyed the Foreigner series, even if it got stretched out perhaps further than it should have. Downbelow Station is also a good standalone novel, I haven't read any of the other Company Wars books though.
From what era is that computer, that it still uses punch cards? xD
I spot with my little eye a book "Whitening manes" :) It's interesting, because I heard once on TV that lions with blacker mane are more "sexy" to lionesses. So whitening mane may have an opposite effect that this book may suggest ;P

Py lives in "The Compact", a loosely aligned system of nonhuman races from an area well outside human space. One feature of the Compact is WILDLY varying tech levels among the species there. As her own species (Hani) did not enter the Space Age on their own but were drawn into it by an outsider species, they tend to have an odd mixture of cutting edge and retro devices.
