''Like all warriors of the Empire these bowmen are highly trained in their art. They are armed with standard bows which have a medium range. Although they wield their bows with skill they are not particularly effective in hand-to-hand combat. Only the front two ranks of archers may fire.''
***Update***: Completely redone the bases after feedback brought to light my rather lazy basing methods in the past, I'll be redoing all my miniatures over time, including those I have already uploaded to the site.
Rather than just gluing slate and static grass to the bases I instead used Medium and Small slate as well as sand, painted and drybrushed in 3 layers, used Weathering pigments and after sealing the pigments added static grass, I'm MUCH happier with the result.
I'm not sure why I opted to create a regiment that joins your army only for two to three missions before leaving in the campaign and are for the most part not even worth using as the exp is better given to your more permanent troops, But here we are, the Helmgart Bowmen regiment from 1998's Warhammer: Dark Omen.
The torsos, legs and about half of the heads are from Anvil Industries while the arms, quivers and other half of the head (And all the hat and feathers) are from Games Workshop.
Also this is the first time I've experimented with Army Painters ''QuickShade'' Dark Tone for washing the miniatures, Testors Dullcoat as always removing the glossy effect and further protecting these miniatures for the future.
