There's a furry hidden in here. Guess where and I'll give you kudo points. This is the piece that I had to do for my drawing fundamentals class. It's abstract (obviously) and done in charcoal. This is only the second charcoal I've done, and I'm really happy with parts of it. PLEASE give me feedback and criticism. LUCRECIA. CHACE.

I love how I am called out and YOU CANT SPELL MY NAME WHITE MAN :D
Well, for starters, I think you achieved your notion of abstract. You have a very good sense of depth within the piece. The eye is allowed to move about in a comfortable way. And you seem to have discovered that the notion of odd numbers works better then even for visual interest. :3
I am glad to see you have a foreground, middle ground and background and that you actually have a sense of design.
I ask the following: what are you using to blend your charcoal?
Are you merely using hands? I personally use an eraser but that's because I like the line work it gives.
Suggestions for smoother blending: tortillion paper stumps, paper towels/tissues... Viva works best, it's epically amazing.
I really wish you were up here and we could play around with charcoal... as it's one of my favorite mediums.
Does this help you? You want more feedback, AIM me.

Thaaaaaaaaaaank youuuuuuuuuuu
I just used my fingers, yeah. The first one I did I didn't blend it at all and got a lot of really good compliments from my classmates, but I had slightly thicker paper with this one and it wasn't absorbing the charcoal the way that I was used to so I had to do it. I played with charcoal pencils for a bit, and then when I went to sharpen them they were like HAHAHAHAHA NICE TRY FAIL and I couldn't use them anymore...so...it's 95% charcoal stick. I liked using my fingers because it was like fingerpainting in black and white. XD Will def try the paper towel idea for the next one!

"standing on
the bridge that crosses
the river that runs
out to the see
the wind is filled
with a thousand voices
that pass by
the bridge and me"
haven't the slightest idea
but for whatever unknown reason
that remembered verse
crossed my mind
when the question was added to the image
the bridge that crosses
the river that runs
out to the see
the wind is filled
with a thousand voices
that pass by
