The Journey For Peace(Story Commission)
"I don't know why you are so stubborn and always listen to him! Who in the world even calls themselves, Mist. Who is scared of that!?" The candle lit home was in an absolute uproar as the sisters got into one of their infamous fights. "Me!? stubborn?! What about you!?" Others in the home groaned everytime the fight grew in volume. Once another hour dragged on with no end to this argument in sight, the waking of the neighbors was the last straw.
"ITS 3 FUCKING AM! YOU TWO BETTER STOP BEING TWO DOUCHE CANOES OR I'M GONNA SEND YOU UP RIVER IN ONE!!! GO. TO. BED!" These two non blood related twins both stopped as they recognized that tone, they made the mistake of waking the queen of their territory. A soft crunching sound caught their attention only to see Camari standing there in only a long night shirt crunching on a stale oat cake. Crunch crunch went the cake before she said only four simple words "Y'all done fucked up."as she headed back to her part of the house to get back to bed. Both women grunted at one another to finally bring the oh so long night to a silent end; or so everyone wished.
Sunrise soon came far to quickly for anyone in The Kingdom.
Cockadoodledoo!
It sounded like the rooster cleared his throat when noticing not a single soul woke when he doodled, ruffling up his feathers he again released a tree shaking "cockadoodledoooooo!!!"
Swoosh!
Out flies a boot from an opened window that smacks him right off his perch, with fluttered feathers the rooster dives into said window giving the attacker a much more violent wake up call. The man screamed as he was getting completely owned; by a bird. Others in the home heard the screams rushing from their rooms, guns in hand only to find Asher face down on the floor with the rooster nested on his head. It took a moment before all six of them in the doorway almost died due to laughing so hard that their ribs started to hurt from their muscles clenching. Between laughs Ruby barely got out a sentence. "At least someone likes the size of your head,Ash!" The joke making people clear over in the next house start laughing. "What you mean???" Asher groaned out.
After a morning like that it was hard for the rest of the day to even compare but one thing was for sure, Asher would never hear the end of it. Finally getting away from it all for some peace and quiet in the corn fields. Imagine his surprise when he found Ruby among the stalks. "Ruby? What are you doing all the way out here?" Quickly she wiped her face dry before smiling a not so convincing smile toward him. "Thinking about her again huh?" The smile slowly faded once she realized she couldn't keep her pain hidden from the one she considered her best friend. Who is even now sitting in a corn field with her so she isn't alone.
One soft sniffle escaped Ruby before she spoke." I just don't understand. Why him? Why would she run away from all that we had?" More questions slipped from the heart aching woman before Asher gently touched her shoulder. "I know. Love can be tough sometimes but at least you still have all of us; your family."
Asher may not be the king of words but everyone always knew he did his best with nothing but good intentions in his heart. They stay among the corn for hours simply talking like they use to. That was until a gun shot explodes through the night sky. Anyone who reined in The Kingdom knew gun fire was not allowed anywhere near the homes or barns due to having young ones roaming around, including the princess. A young little girl know as, Princess Naomi, one of the most protected children across the land.
Everyone rushed from all different directions looking for who dared break one of the biggest rules. Ruby and Asher checked the barn with no luck finding an answer. Until a single drop of blood dropped onto Ruby's forehead dripping down over her eye. With one swipe of her hand she knew what she felt turning her head to the feed storage above them. "Hello? Is someone..there?" With hesitation she slowly started heading up the ladder to investigate withour truly knowing what may be found in the dark. As soon as her hand touched the wooden planks of the next level of the barn a blood covered hand struck from the darkness causing Ruby to scream.
The hand lied limp against hers as her free hand held a lantern into the darkness. "Camari?!" Lying among the blood stained hay indeed was one of the strongest warriors in The Kingdoms ranks. A deep slice had been dug down the right side of her face after what appears to be a gun shot wound to the side of the body. Who would be foolish enough to attack a member of a territory so large?
Asher, Ruby and Rayna worked together to get Camari down from the second level and safely inside the house. "Aux.." A soft whisper escaped her weak lips as she was losing consciousness rapidly from blood loss. "..Au..x.."
The Queen ordered all whom were precent that night to find Aux. You may remember Aux, she is the sister to Ruby that had the fight just the other night. Many nights came and went with no sign of Aux to be found, would an innocent being hide?
As the days continued to pass Camari never moved from the comforts of the couch as her wounds were healing. A peaceful slumber was disturbed by some bickering in the room down the hall.
"No. This doesn't make sense she wouldn't hurt any of us. I don't understand why she ever would! Camari must have not seen it right. It was very dar-.." Ruby was cut off before she could finish her plea to Rayna as she was making plans. "You think I or anyone would forget let alone mistaken who did this to them?" Leaning upon the doors frame with a hand over her bandaged ribcage. "She may have took the sight from my eye but her face with that gun has never been more clear,Ruby. That woman is not the person we all once knew."
With that being said, Rayna made her decision, teams of two were to be sent out on patrol every night to be the night owls watching over the territory while the rest slept. If one was harmed then more was to follow so they must start taking steps to prevent it. By everyone's surprise Ruby offered to be the first out on patrol, she was determined to some how prove her sister didn't commit the crime; with Asher by her side.
The final night of the fully lit moon high in the sky was coming to an end but a whole new darkness was about to begin.
The sun was saying goodbye to another day as it went down behind mount Hagen, Ruby throws the saddle onto the back of her white shire known as White Russian wasting no time in getting mounted up.
"Come on,Asher! We have plenty of ground to cover before sunrise."
A yawning Asher wanders into the barn sipping on his hot coffee.
"We probably won't find anything. We've been at this for weeks now, can you please let Rayna assign a few recruits to this job?" Taking another sip.
"I can't keep living off of coffee."
She simply gives him a look before knocking her boots into the sides of her stallion to get him going. With a deep long sigh Asher gets mounted up so he may follow behind her.
Over the weeks that had passed Camari regained very little sight in her eye but her rib cage was healing beautifully. Rayna still won't allow her to be out of sight so Camari has been spending most of her days entertaining the princess and being sure her muscles didn't get weak while healing. She often would travel on top of the house just to lay upon the roof; gazing up at the stars above. Anger was a heavy weight on her shoulders since she was attacked. How could she have let someone take half her sight away? Or even have the chance to get a bullet through her flesh? She grunted at her own thoughts soon noticing the two departing from the territory.
"Please find that Bitch. I have a debt to repay as soon as you do."
The night carried on with no changes which began to annoy Ruby, she just wanted this all to come to an end like a terrible dream. They were finally reaching the final area of the territory, their last chance to find Aux in a quiet manor.
Van Horn The Home Of Thieves.
Both dismounting, going into the saloon to look around then ask a few questions. The two slipped their bandanas over their faces to be sure no one recognizes them because most of the Kingdom members were jump on sight. Not all of course, even the Kingdom had a few wild people among them but most were rob on sight due to the many robberies, murders and other abominations they stopped from happening.
Whiskey was their drink of choice as they hung around the bar for a few hours watching everyone come, go or pass out. Eventually Ruby asked the bartender a few questions. She releases a soft chuckle while cleaning a glass with an old rag.
"You don't live as long as I have by being a rat,Sug."
Ruby left the saloon knowing less than she did before even going in there. Grunting loudly as they mounted their horses to leave useless van horn behind them.
"Why is she hiding!? This isn't like her at all. She wouldn't just hurt someone."
"I don't think Camari would lie about something so serious though."
"No no I'm not saying she's lying but maybe she just didn't see it right?"
Asher begun rubbing at the side of his neck in a nervous manor before he starts to speak.
"Ruby? You look almost identical to Aux, I mean you two are known as the twins. Camari must have clearly saw who it was if she knew it wasn't you attacking her."
In that moment she realizes that they were all probably right, her sister, the one she has such a strong bond with really did attack a member of the family? Ruby sat there on her horse in a pure disbelief, she can feel her heart shattering in her chest.
Asher caught up to the now annoyed Ruby as an old memory came to mind. He had just thought about the hidden cave not far from them, the one hidden behind the waterfall just up the road from Van Horn . Most often completely forget that the waterfall cave even exists because the river had been poisoned by a man filled with greed that wanted to chase the Native Americans off their land by poisoning the water.
The two moved on from Van Horn in hopes that this will not be another waste of a journey. Upon reaching the waterfall they dismounted from their stallions heading into the cave, one within the dark cave they were met with unexpected surprise.
Rats.
Rats charged to chase them for any scraps of food they may have. With lanterns in hand they follow an even brighter light ahead of them. The opening shined as they got closer to it. It was the full moon shining over the rocks, this then guided their eyes upward from the ground below and all you could see were the old cave paintings from Native American ancestors. when seeing the cave paintings the two wanted a closer look; they set out to climb up the rocks to reach the mini hidden cave within the cave. Once inside they found something that they never expected to find in a million years.
It was Aux.
Aux immediately begun to run past them and get down off the rocks, Asher and Ruby jumped after to her down below stopping her from getting away.
"Why are you hiding? Why did you run? Why did you, Camari? Why would you betray our family that accepted you guided you and trained you to be the good fighter that you are today? Why?" the agonizing questions that flooded Ruby'a mined finally came out all at once.
Aux couldn't help but chuckle as a response. " You're nothing but a fool to follow them like a blinded dog, they care for nothing but money and sex. They bully to get what they want. Left on your own once you were no use to them. Do not think that Jessy and Camari will not do the same in the end. Jessy only knows loyalty to Rayna and Camari only Knows loyalty to herself; in the end they all will leave you behind as they left me."
"No one ever left you behind, you let anger blind you from the truth. I loved you you were my sister. You are breaking my heart.
"If you still ride with the kingdom then there's truly no heart in there to break."
With that final sentence Ruby couldn't handle it anymore she walked up to Aux pushing her in hope to knock her against the stone wall. An all-out fist fight between the two broke out instead. As to not intervene Asher stayed back on the rocks but he did pull a gun just in case something would escalate from fists to knives or even possibly a gun to the head. Luckily fist fighting was one thing Ruby was better at than her sister. One slick punch to the jaw knocked Aux out cold. Once knocked out her body was dragged from the cave and onto the horses.
"I never wanted this; I never wanted any of this, why does it hurt so bad?"
"This is your sister, the one person that you thought you could trust the most outside of me. None of us ever expected this would happen. The attack happening by someone within our own walls but it's over now. Aux is now our prisoner so no other attacks can happen only meetings to get her back." Asher did his best to help.
"Maybe" is all Ruby could say as they mounted up and headed home.
It took a couple days to return home to the kingdom; they were greeted with open arms. Rayna was proud to see they were successful but in turn did not understand why Ruby's eyes were broken and why Asher's eyes were so lost.
"I'm proud of you, Ruby. I know this had to be a very hard task for you to complete. You spent weeks day in and day out to find her while still keeping the faith that she was who you remember. She's not the person any of us remember any longer. Fear not you're still loved by us and will never be alone. You did right by Camari, the Kingdom and myself. I may now sleep at night knowing my daughter and my people are safe. I'm sure many will be in search of aux, play this right and we can use her to bring peace to the land, showing that we do mean business but we want peace over anything else. We have to much here that we built that is not worth losing for any war. Camari and I have spoke as well; she does not want war over this despite still searching for her peace. I don't know if she'll ever find it this time. A lot must be prepared for but for now we must celebrate your return. Jessy, get aux tied up on a tree, a post, a bull, I don't care but be sure she gets food and water. We are not the monster she makes us out to be or tried to turn Camari into."
"How is Camari doing? is she okay?" Ruby asked after dismounting her stallion.
"Doing much better she can now, she can walk but still cannot see. I'm sure she'll be happy to hear you returned, she's resting with Naomi for right now but I'm sure once she hears the celebration she will rise very quickly."
"Forgive me but right now I'm not in the mood to celebrate. Maybe tonight we can continue this conversation." Rayna understood they must get some rest
Jesst take Aux off of the horse and got her tied to the tall oak tree by Camari and his home, a reinforced rope is used to tie her hands around the thick tree trunk to ensure there was no escape without help.
"You deserve nothing of what I may give you, you hurt my sister, my family and you hurt me when all I ever did was look out for you yet you attack some of the most important things in my life. You aren't the person I remember, anger has changed you but one day I really hope YOU will return."
Jessy wiped the blood from her lip just before giving her a drink of water. "Be sure to get comfortable, you'll be here awhile until we make a decision if we will wait for your people to contact us or us contact them to get this to end even faster." He dropped the bowl on the ground, at one point not caring that it's spilt the water that was inside of it. It was getting very late so he needed to get to bed not knowing what the new day shall bring.
Ruby laid upon her bed lost in thought when looking to the stand beside her. She saw the picture of her and Aux smiling and laughing with not a care in the world. Where did her sister go? why does everyone she loves leave? our of pure anger and pain she threw the photo across the room and listened to the glass shatters hit the floor. Soon all she could do was cry herself to sleep.
The morning sun rose over Mount Hagen like it did everyday but this day was different because on this day it was to be decided what they were going to do with Aux. No one has yet come for her but no one knew if it was all part of a scheme or just no one gave a damn. Never the less they must decide what they were going to do because they no longer wanted the responsibility of keeping her alive but also did not want her to have freedom after the crime she has committed against other kingdom members. Some wanted to let her go free and if she showed her face again then she is to be shot on sight; others didn't care or they just wanted to sentence her to prison. The whole kingdom was tired of sharing their rations with the person that betrayed them with no remorse. A decision had to be made in the end.
Since they couldn't come to a fair conclusion Rayna decided the choice will be made between Camari and Ruby. These two were picked due to the fine fact that Camari was harmed physically the most by Aux and Ruby was hurt the most emotionally. Between the two they had to make a decision on how this all would end. For now.
Ruby and Camari rested around a small camp fire as they discussed the best way to go about all of this.
"I don't think death is the answer to be honest with you, a quick death may just be too good for her. So the only answer may be just to put her in the prison in Valentine. Luckily the sheriff is a friend of ours so he might help us get past all the red flags."
Camari continues carving split points into her bullets as the two conversed. "If this is to be our chosen path; I wish to find peace before it is chosen. I have to know why she picked me over everyone in the Kingdom. I have lost half of my sight and I still cannot yet return to battle. Why was I her first target and why was Rayna the next? Does not make sense or add up so my questions will be answered before we sentence her to anything."
This talk went on for a few more moments before agreeing on the terms but they discussed everything with Rayna before continuing on.
"If you two think that's the wisest decision then I will agree to it. Please make this journey short we have much to repair and need all hands on deck."
The night this was all to take place the full moon was shining so bright and beautiful in the night sky. It was almost a shame something so terrible must commence on a night so beautiful, such a bittersweet beauty.
It was a slow process at first to get things going because Ruby was moving at a lesser pace than she normally did. Camari is just ready for this to be over but it was clear that Ruby was still heartbroken by the all of these events.
"Soon this will come to an end, you no longer have to worry about her then you can start to heal."
"Is there any healing from this? I want to feel happiness again but I fear once I feel happiness it will be stripped away."
"I know it may sound corny but you must have bad times in your life so you truly appreciate the good ones. I think we're really going to appreciate the good ones when they come along after all of this" Camari tried to make Ruby smile by cracking a lame joke, which actually worked; she gave her a quick hug.
"I'm sorry I didn't believe you." The two mounted up after putting a hog tied Aux on the back of Camari's horse.
"We all have our own choices to make and sometimes we just make the wrong ones. All we can do is learn from it, don't let any emotion drag you down in the dirt."
Moving on miles away from the kingdom to the deep woods north of VanHorn. Aux had been blind folded so she is oblivious to all that's going on around her. "Tell me why,Aux."
A soft chuckle escaped her throat. "Your brother was the fool to keep loyalty to a woman he no longer reined beside. Attacking him would have been to complicated and I would have lost his trust so he would no longer confide in me but you? you are new. No one gives a damn about you, even Ruby didn't believe you when you told her it was me did she? No. I knew I could attack you and still have plenty of time to get out of there. I took half hour sight but you were already blind thinking they give a damn about you or your brother."
Camari stopped her horse dead in his tracks before getting off of him and hitching him to a tree. with one hand she snatches Aux off of the horse by just her ankle dragging her away from them. she rips off the blind fold and cuts her free of her restraints. Once free she punches her square in the jaw, an all out brawl commences but Camari was done playing games, a quick flick of her hand to pulls out the hunting knife her brother had gave to her, ramming it into the gut of Aux being sure to avoid all major organs. Placing a hand upon her forehead she pushes her off of her now blood covered blade and into the ground.
"Camari! that wasn't the plan!" Ruby shouted in disbelief.
"I'll take the heat from Rayna. It looks worse than it is, she will survive. I'm letting her go free in hopes she will return to us so I may put a bullet between her eyes." wiping her blade clean she returned to her horse.
"Leave her. Let her suffer as I have." tapping her heels into her horse to get him to turn to leave. Ruby hesitated but soon followed behind to return home.
The ride home was one of the most silent journeys to ever take place but did Camari finally find peace?
"You can't just stab someone and expect nothing to come of it!" Rayna was completely dumbfounded by the news about the stabbing of Aux.
" Your anger controlled you,Camari. Your brother use to have the same problem, it's very dangerous because you may pull a gun on the wrong person one day getting yourself or others killed." A mother's tone was starting to fill her voice.
Camari stood there listening to everything being said because she knew that her actions would cause this reaction, every action comes with a reaction, but she doesn't regret anything she has done. Rayna exhales a soft sigh. "Go rest, your body is still trying to get back into its feet." she nodded her head before heading to the couch to sleep.
Time traveled on after that night. Days filled with laughter and nights filled with peace. The stables have been expanded to increase the capacity for the new comers horses, a new fence line having to be built to accompany the stables. Camari was finally well enough to move back into her own home with Jessy despite the rebuttal from the princess, she didn't want to lose her new playmate but was promised her friend would always come to play.
Training sessions happen much more often now to be prepared for anything that could be thrown at them again. Imagine training with a sniper in a corn field, many corn kernels flew around that day, but it really did help to learn how to track small targets just like the head on someone's shoulders.
Even party's started to happen again. Celebrations for peace, victory and strength. A few birthdays were even thrown in there.
The Kingdom had returned to the peaceful place it once was. Some things are to great to last forever.
"Rayna!" A horse galloped like a bat out of hell into the kingdoms territory. It was Polly, the right hand to the Queen herself, she was bleeding from her shoulder quite profusely which caught the attention of many others not just Rayna. "It's Aux! She's back with Mist, Roach and Syan by her side. They jumped me at the shops putting in a order for more supplies."
Stef and Jessy tried helping her down off of her horse.
"Guys, I'm fine it's just a flesh wound. Luckily enough for me their aim isn't up to par so escaping was an easy task." She pushes the two men off playfully before she heads to get her wound cleaned and dressed.
Anger rushed over Rayna's body, peace had finally returned to her home only for these people to return.
"Don't stress just yet, darlin'. We will simply travel in numbers instead of alone. Polly is a strong woman, she's going to be okay. Camari, Asher and Ruby can set out to capture Aux again, this time not letting her go free. "Camari rolled her eyes at her brothers slick comment smacking him on the back of before heading to go get her stallion saddled up.
The three set out on the two day ride to Van Horn so they may check out the waterfall cave just to see if the enemy was dumb enough to return to their first hidey hole.
"Nothing in here except the damn rats!" Asher yelled out from behind the waterfall before the wee little brown bats chased him from their home." I'm going I'm going!" He escaped the bats only to be greeted by a gun to his forehead. Being knocked out cold by the butt of the gun, the masked assailant standing over him. As his vision slowly faded away all he could see was a hog tied Ruby and Camari getting rope tied around their necks.
Just before darkness takes him.
"Wakey wakey." Ruby is awaken by a soft tap against her cheek. Discovering her hands are bound behind her back and the fact she has a terrible headache from the hard impact from the gun making the impact into her skull. She blinks a few times to invoke her eyes as she gazes around the room.
"Camari!" She was hanging by her throat and wrists from the ceiling, her body covered in cuts, burns and bruises, clothing torn to shreds. The rope is secured tightly around her neck but the chair beneath her is the only thing preventing her neck from snapping. When hearing her name she began to move her fingers slightly to reveal she is still alive, fighting to stay conscious.
"Did you really think you all could get away with what you've done? " The masked assailant keeled down in front of her. "Did you, sister?" pulling the mask down from her mouth to reveal her identity is none other than Aux. It was now obvious Ruby was still cared for because there wasn't a scratch on her.
Ruby instantly spits in her face. " Go to hell, you are no sister of mine! We didn't do this to you. We took care of you! You did this to you and you won't get away with what you've done!" Ruby quickly looked around. "What have you done with Asher!? Where is he?!"
" Don't you fret, he is still alive for now. Mist wanted to handle that fool."
"Only fool among these walls is you,Aux." Her voice was weak, ragged breaths were taken just to speak. "You forget that we are never alone, that we never have only one plan." She spits blood from her mouth. "You will fall on this day."
Bam!
Just before Camari could be cut yet again a gun goes off. In the blink of an eye the room fills with people, guns in hand and burning hearts in their chests.
The Kingdom.
Stef comes from the other room with a mangled Asher leaning against him. It was revealed that the gun fire was the bullet that went between Mist's eyes. Polly pushes Syan from the house before yelling" Get out of here! Remember what you've seen and that you've been spared from it even though you deserve no peace!" the woman ran off to get to safety as quick as she could. Roach was given the same freedom thanks to only Hannah Highwater, she alone saved her once best friends life. This leaves only one left to deal with now is Aux.
Jessy barges into the room to help Rayna cut Camari free from her restraints sitting her down on the chair that could have easily been the reason her life ended. Once getting her sat down he turns to punch Aux right in the middle of her face.
"I will never hit a woman but I'll beat a bitches ass!" He kicks her straight into the gut getting ready to beat her senseless.
"Stop."
Camari coughs deeply from her seat as she spits more blood on the floor."This has to stop. No more fighting, no more blood shall be shed due to her. We will not be the monsters she has made us seem, brother." Ruby used part of her torn shirt to wipe a few of Camari's wounds. "Take her to Valentine. Make things right." Breathing was becoming a chore for her. "Go." Her eyes slowly shut as consciousness slipped away.
Wanting to respect her wishes Rayna nodded for the two to follow what she has said. An anger filled Jessy released a growl, with Ruby by his side he was able to control his anger enough to get Aux loaded up onto a horse.
"You deserve nothing but a slow painful death for all you have done. I don't know why your life is being spared." With one quick punch he knocks the woman out before she could say any slick comment.
The two headed off for Valentine.
"Do you think this will truly put an end to our suffering?"
With a soft exhale of a sigh Jessy's anger filled tone turned gentle."I truly don't know anymore. I wish I knew but we can only keep faith that this is the end."
Upon reaching Valentine Aux was taken straight to a jail cell, with one quick toss of a few gold bars onto the sheriff's desk her fate was sealed. She would love the rest of her life in that cell until death decides it's her time to go.
A few days have passed now with Asher showing great signs of improvements, he can even get out of bed on his own now. Sadly the same can not be said for Camari. She can barely stay awake for more than fifteen minutes at a time, her wounds are not showing improvement and she stops breathing in her sleep. You would find Ruby or Jessy by her side at night to be sure she begins breathing once more.
"I always said how much I needed you but you needed me more. I'm so sorry I wasn't there to protect you, I should have been there but you gotta get better. You just gotta start healing,Camari. You are stronger than this. Please." Jessys voice was filled with sadness and regret as he sat at his sister's bed side.
You gotta wake up.
"Please, wake up. You can't leave me yet." Jessy has yet to leave his sister's side since the attack. One of her wounds has refused to heal, her health declines more with each passing day, she has even stopped waking to get her share of the food. "Please."
It was on the night of the new moon that Camari took her last breath; her brothers heart shattered in his chest like a rock was thrown at a glass house. He couldn't help but break down and cry with his forehead laying against his sisters body. "They won't get away with this. I promise." Releasing a deep growl from his throat as he got up grabbing his rifle. Walking from the house he yelled out to inform everyone on what has happen.
"My beloved sister is no longer suffering." He cocks his gun." But her death will not be in vain." Jumping up onto the bare back of Kenai to head to Valentine.
"Jessy! I know you are hurting but this isn't going to bring her back." Rayna yelled after him.
"No but it sure will bring me peace!" Hitting his heels into the sides of his stallion taking off into the night.
Once in Valentine Jessy went straight to the sheriff's office requesting the custody of Aux. Again and again he was turned away which caused his anger to grow, it began to guide him.
"As you wish, Sheriff." A calm voice released these words but they came from a broken man; he pulls his flask from his back pocket beginning to pour moonshine all over the building, he scraped a match against the wooden floor gazing upon the little flame on its tip. "As you wish." Is all he said before flicking the lit match into the trail of shine.
The growing flames shined in Jessy's eyes as they locked right onto Aux's, he watched her as she slowly burned alive.
"Jessy! Stop! This isn't you!" Ruby screamed as her and Asher galloped up to the office. The blazing fire begun to travel on the wind; setting half of the town on fire, he turned as he heard ruby's voice; distracting him from what was coming at him.
Bam!
A bullet hits Jessy right in his temple causing death to instantly take him. "You son of a bitch!" Asher quickly drew his gun only to be shot right between his eyes.
"No! No stop! Make it stop! Please stop!" Ruby covered her ears and closed her eyes tightly as she begged for it all to be over. For all of the suffering to stop.
Ruby suddenly gasps deeply jumping from her sleep as she pantedheavily, she looked around the room in confusion and panic. She was in her room? How?? Quickly she ran from her home to be completely dumbfounded by the sight.
The beautiful sun was shining above them as bird chirped away. Jessy was giving Aux,still tied to a tree, some water, Camari was in the cooling grass playing with the princess and Asher was by the stables grooming his horse.
"W-what? They are all alive? Was it all just nightmare?"
Camari soon notices Ruby is finally awake. "Ready to get going?"
"Going? Where?" She rubs at her hurting confusion filled head.
"Don't you remember? Rayna asked us to make the final decision on Aux. We are taking her to the sheriff's office to live the rest of her life there." She chuckles "You must have slept hard, huh?"
"Yea I. I must have."
Once Aux was sentenced to her fate nothing but peace returned to the territory. The Kingdom grew in numbers and strength while being a home to those that never knew what it meant to have a family let along a home. It was finally all over.
Or was it?
