Hello, my name is Maddy and I have complex feelings about shapes.

Therapist suggested doing something that was an actual hobby. You know, something that doesn't need to be sold. Something that isn't work. Something that I don't tie my identity to in the same way I do with writing or software. The end result was me digging out JD's old easel and starting with washes.

I dunno, though. It's like I've got this constant static going on at about 25% of my perception, coloring everything, but when I deal with painting these stupid fucking rectangles, it knocks that down by 10% or whatever. Brains are dumb and these are dumb but hey, my therapist apparently knew what she was talking about, so I'll take it. Probably won't post any more of these, but figured I'd toss this collage up.
