A new character from 2016... Meet Janessa, or as her teammates call her, "Jan". I've already introduced her son, Kit previously, and Jan was designed to be Kit's mother.
(Her son goes by "Kit" both because he's a baby fox and because his name is Christopher, but nobody has time for those long names.)

Batter for a local baseball team, she often brings her young son with her to practice and games because she can't always find a babysitter. The rest of the team and the coach and other park staff keep an eye on him as she plays, and she tends to him herself when she's not on the field, and as a result he's become an unofficial mascot of sorts for the team. That's why he's always got a baby-sized baseball cap and uniform shirt, and why he seems to always have a baseball since they will often give him one to play with.

She's a more competitive sort and tomboy, but also a good sport, and not afraid to get dirty sliding into bases. The team she plays on is a mixed-gender anthro team, and she gives the boys a run for their money every time she hits the field.
