Lace and barbed wire
She showed up out of nowhere and placed a bet on herself.
Knows the rules well enough to follow the letter,
And wrap the spirit around her knuckles with barbed wire.
She doesn’t fight long, but she fights hard.
So when you hit her, you’d better knock her out.
Sooooo armageddon_the_dutchie challenged me to make “fierce Jill”. I don’t usually go out of character with myself, but this is actually inspired my my great-granddad, whose name is Lacy and did illegal boxing to make it through the depression after he lost the farm. By all accounts, a wonderful, gentle person, socially-conscious before his time who did what he had to do to feed his family during lean times.
