I don't do a ton of artistic venting, but sometimes I can't help myself. After having what seemed like a drama filled day I found myself playing my violin.
It only takes two fingers to play and the music is hard to hear. Understandable considering it happens to be the smallest violin in the world. But every so often I have to take it out and play it just for the right people because they deserve having the smallest violin in the world played just for their benefit.
Life ain't so bad, folks. And sometimes the source of most if not all of your problems is staring at you through the mirror.
Okay, back to drawing cute things once more.

Husband happened to be looking over my shoulder when I was showing this to him and saw your icon. I then ended up rushing on a whirlwind of link clicks to show him your costume (he loves it), show him what a real orchid mantis looks like (He said, "Wow, it really is an Orchid mantis."), And discussed how to phonetically pronounce 'Patpahootie.
Thought I'd share.

Patpahootie!
A typical RPG character name from me when I'm feeling silly!
another fave old time character of mine being 'Spooverwekki!"
- Although I think my fave RPG names of mine from old campaigns were my HARN characters "Bran McMuffin" and his brother "Oatis McMuffin".
And a kobold from D&D called "Crotch-Snappy"

Well... we all have Drama Day's. And on days like that I remember an old song....
Thank you Frankie Laine
Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'
Keep movin', movin', movin',
Though they're disapprovin',
Keep them doggies movin' Rawhide!
Don't try to understand 'em,
Just rope and throw and grab 'em,
Soon we'll be living high and wide.
Boy my heart's calculatin'
My true love will be waitin', be waiting at the end of my ride.
Move 'em on, head 'em up,
Head 'em up, move 'em out,
Move 'em on, head 'em out Rawhide!
Set 'em out, ride 'em in
Ride 'em in, let 'em out,
Cut 'em out, ride 'em in Rawhide.
Full Lyrics
Rollin', rollin', rollin'
Rollin', rollin', rollin'
Rollin', rollin', rollin'
Rollin', rollin', rollin'
Rawhide!
Rollin', rollin', rollin'
Though the streams are swollen
Keep them dogies rollin'
Rawhide!
Rain and wind and weather
Hell-bent for leather
Wishin' my gal was by my side.
All the things I'm missin',
Good vittles, love, and kissin',
Are waiting at the end of my ride
CHORUS
Move 'em on, head 'em up
Head 'em up, move 'em on
Move 'em on, head 'em up
Rawhide
Count 'em out, ride 'em in,
Ride 'em in, count 'em out,
Count 'em out, ride 'em in
Rawhide!
Keep movin', movin', movin'
Though they're disapprovin'
Keep them dogies movin'
Rawhide!
Don't try to understand 'em
Just rope, throw, and brand 'em
Soon we'll be living high and wide.
My hearts calculatin'
My true love will be waitin',
Be waitin' at the end of my ride.
Rawhide!
Rawhide!

I think you would love the pen I ink with these days. I have to special order it but it doesn't cost me too much. I've always been a bit shaky about brush inking but this has completely turned me around.

Considering I learned a lot of my inking from you, I figured you'd appreciate.

Microns are disposable and found readily at most art stores.

You can pull the back of the pen off refill the foam cartilage inside with good ink and sometimes it works out for longer use.
although it is not 100% effective.
