Oh I completely agree with you! I feel like Origins is the better of the three games, purely from a storytelling aspect. DA2 was a bit of a departure and, while it was good, it just didn't have the kind of overall effect that DAO did. And then DAI was a revisit to the kind of DAO storytelling. But DAO? Perfect. Literally will keep playing DAO forever. Especially because the modding community keeps coming up with new and interesting things. I'm actually in the process of writing a DAO novel that answers the question of what would happen if all of the Origins were their own individual character and they all managed to survive. Really need to get back to that.

aww ys im totally agree with you! i've already played DAO like 20000 times but im always free to start again! i've finished it again recently but now i want to start a new game, this is really an addiction haha
this is kinda sad that a lot of people won't play DAO only because it isn't that dynamic and grafics isn't that cool, it makes me really sad because this is liturally the best part!
also i would love to make my own mods, i guess this would be really cool! i just dont have enough skill haha, but i have some ideas for DA2

Literally every day I'm tempted to do another full playthrough of DAO. Especially because people made some new starts for the game, like being able to play as a Dalish Elf Mage specifically. I really should look through all the mods and see if anyone has added more. Not to mention all the Cullen mods, and the Ser Gilmore mod. Gosh I loved the Ser Gilmore mod. And the mod that allows you to save Tamlen. It'll always make me so sad that people won't even give DAO a chance, it's so stinkin' good.
Also saaaame. Like even though DA2 wasn't the best it was still super fun to play, and there were some parts that just do so well at gripping you emotionally. I'm happy to admit that one of Fenris's monologues made me cry, even though I am a 100% mage supporter. Though I would probably make a mod that makes him easier to romance for mages X'D to be fair, it was low-key my fault because I kept bringing him on missions that had me helping mages and Fenris Disapproves
I'll definitely start it up again! I'm just starting working out the City Elf (Female) start and was stuck on trying to get all the actual in-game dialogue. Playing the game while also writing about the game is super hard. XD

aawwww yes yes yes!! cullen and ser gilmore are such a pretty thing hehe тWт i really love cullen romance from DAI but still his love to human/elf mage GW feels more... sincere?? harder?? don't even know how to explain! i just feel like romance with him in DAI was made only because fans really wanted any romance with him... aaand still i love this haha
by the way! i love friendship romances more, but I've made some research recently and i guess there's nothing that bad in rivalry romance! it just means that hawke isn't agree with his lover so this isn't that bad as i think

I 100% Agree with you! I feel like because you actually got to see more of it grow, as well as the implications (and the fact that they admitted that it was supposed to be a thing, but they ran out of time) the Cullen romance with the Circle Mage feels just more sweet and genuine. Which is why it hurts so much after you go back to the Tower QQ Cullen saying those things about mages will always break my heart. I actually haven't romanced Cullen yet (In DAI) but I definitely wanna try it out. Maybe I will just okay all the games again.
But I can also go on for AGES about Cullen and his character and how he's a precious baby and I'll fight anyone who says he's a bad character.
I love me some rivalmance tbh, but I do feel like they went suuuuper hard on his hatred for mages. Like you'd think, if he's traveling with you and watching all the good things you're doing to help everyone (not just mages) he'd calm down a liiiittle bit. But I also get why his character is the way it is.
I wanna go through aaaall the romances. Except Sera's romance. Like, I'll do it. But I won't enjoy it. Playing DAI as a male Elf mage really has shown a spotlight on just how poorly they wrote that part of her character. Like, I get what they were trying to do, but where Cullen has every reason to have turned out the way he was in DA2 and then grew and learned from it, Sera is just...........
I don't like Sera as a character. We'll say that much. X'D

cullen's sooo soft and so sweet! as i think he really said a lot of bad stuff about mages in the first two chapters, but come on, he really grew up in DAI and he understands that what he did was bad
he says a lot of cute things if inqusitor is a mage and in love with him ;w; and also this is so funny that he tries to be brutal and all but COME ON we know that you're a soft butterfly, keep trying cullen....

Cullen is A++ Good Boy S Tier Husband For Life. Literally the reason I like Alistair so much is because he reminds me of Cullen, what Cullen could have been if given the chance. A better life. Etc etc. But honestly, Cullen was my first DA love, and I was genuinely devastated when I realized our forbidden love was truly never meant to be.
I'm gonna be addressing the heck out of that once I get to that part of my DA novel.
I both love and hate Solas, mostly because he won't be boyfriends with me and the first playthrough I had was a male Elf. It's okay though, I respect his preferences. But I'm also mad at him for obvious end of game reasons. I just hate that I can't stay mad at him. I really, really want to be mad at him, but I just can't do it.
Merrill I could rant about for aaaaages, but that's mostly because of the HUGE character ret-con they did between her in DAO and her in DA2. They made her a completely different character without really accurately addressing why. Like, sure, I guess trauma is a good enough reason as any for her drastic character change, but they could have done more to make it look more realistic.

Also, definitely 100% draw your Inquisitor with Cullen and then show it to me so I can squeal over it. :3

it looks like she supposed to be cute and funny with her "ohh that was a joke i get it" but i found it more annoying than cute, and also all her blood magic stuff blah... i don't think blood magic is bad, it just needs good hands and merrill doens't seems like a good hand to me
