eather they were going awol or its because herman and such killed them before the message went out and left before the message reached them

they would have standing orders in the case of communications loss. and or radio silence except for prearranged pickup or radioing the job was done.. from what little I know they would radio in to say they setup base camp.. but they barely had a chance to bed down for the first night when the very person they where looking for kicked down there door and mowed them down. so Herman gave them no change to hunt him... Herman might end up losing a leg or his life... even if that old cat Doctor tries to save him...
