Chapter two. Yay.
Again, no formatting is available when I upload it as .txt and nothing else will open on this page, soooo...deal with it. ;D
Yes, this story contains a lot of racism. If this offends you there are many other things that you could be reading.

Faaantastic. I love Frank, he's the kind of character you like right away.
I also really like how you continue the character for Geniva you began to establish at the beginning of chapter one. She doesn't put up with human prejudice anymore. She's worked her way above it to where she doesn't have to deal with it, and she figures out how to cut the crap right away with people.
I'm really excited to read the third chapter! I was actually a little upset when the chapter ended. It's like when a good book ends and you can't wait for the sequel to come out. Now don't pull a Martin and take 5 years to write the next chapter please! <3

Thank you! It's good to know that you enjoy reading it. I'm glad that you like Frank; he's one of my favorites, too. And yeah, I'm starting to enjoy Geniva. I usually find that female characters I write tend to be either complete pushovers with no spines or beyond bitchy. I like that she's more assertive than aggressive or passive.
Haha, no worries on waiting that long, I have too many ideas bouncing around my head for this that simply won't leave me alone until I write them out. =P

The racism just ads justice behind her, she meets Frank at 1st and thinks she has it all wrong about humans being all bad, lol then she meets the ignorant guards. Your writings are crisp and full of detail, the bathroom lol looks like the one in the back of my work. But one thing Mrs. Hart referred to them as prisoners, this a typo or does she see them as both prisoner and patient?
Thank you; I appreciate that you can understand the racism as serving a purpose rather than pointless slander. I'd hoped to hit a few nerves there and make people pay attention.
As far as the prisoners thing...I wrote this so long ago that I can't remember where she refers to them as prisoners. If she said it aloud then it is a typo and I'll need to fix it. However, she does not deny that the inmates she cares for are violent beings and probably deserve to be locked up. While she sees them mostly as patients, she's not delusional. =P

Just speaking to herself
"The layout wasn't what she'd been expecting. To her right were two flights of stairs, the flight that lead down set against the wall. She moved closer and peered down the flight of stairs, but whatever was at its base was hidden by an inky darkness. Geniva hoped that no prisoners were kept down there in the dark."
Do we find out what's down this awesome staircase? Heh I'll keep reading
