This was my first story posted here. I am not really happy about the way it turned out, as I had no technique for drafting at that point whatsoever other than "write it straight through and get it right on the first try." This was late in 2016. I didn't want to post this until I'd written the revision, but it's gonna be a while until I even start on it (first a few NoSleeps, Arizona Fairy Tale, probably some Christmas stories...). So, here's the first draft.
