MissFuzzbottom. (That's me!) Art by
Dasmerr, fave the much larger image [here].
I am a writer. I have a lot of story ideas floating around in my head. But so rarely do I acquire the inspiration to flesh them out. Today, I have had the inspiration I needed to finish one, thanks to the image linked above, as well as other stories and art I've been browsing recently!
For those not aware, nidoran♀ is my favorite pokemon, ever. I am also not only a fan of transformation, but also and especially "life after the TF". I wanna see people adjust to their new bodies, live in it, even if it were temporary. And so we have this story where I've been living as a trainer's pokemon.
I wanted to be in a Japanese-speaking world, not only because Pokemon as a franchise originated there, but also because it would give me the experience of being an animal that can't understand the language of humans, only understanding a few repeated commands. The Japanese name for Water Pulse is in fact みずのはどう, though Google Translate hasn't a clue what that means.
Admittedly, I don't normally like confrontations. One reason being a halfbreed skunk is such a good fit as my fursona is that our natural defense is intended to help avoid conflict.
When I'm a pokemon, though, things are different. As I say in the story, I'm a superpowered monster, not only able to dish out fancy attacks, but take 'em, too. I wanna test my abilities, because it's so cool!
Granted, I'm cheating a little by keeping my dragon heritage, especially given my perspective in this story as a former human. But it ain't cheating by using Water Pulse! This is an attack that nidorans actually *can* learn in the games, thanks to either a TM or a move tutor. Conveniently, it's also one of my favorite attacks, not only being water-elemental, but also having a chance of inflicting confusion. (Which, incidentally, helps serve my natural desire to avoid conflict.)
The image is based on the animation from Gen 4 & 5 of the mainline games, as I like how clean it is compared to later generations, while being cooler than its introduction in Gen 3. I also wanted to establish that I wear glasses even in my nido form, so, here they are!
