A reporter, contrary to rational thinking, heads alone into a legendary forest to inquire about a story supposedly settled.

This piece has been sitting in my "Active Projects" folder since December of last year, and I was a fool to not post it earlier. That long away from it, time has done it enormous favors in my eyes.
Neither one of these are types of characters I had ever written prior or since, but the experiment was engaging for me as a writer.
